Needs a new thread I think

    Back up and running

Caitlin Clark with a triple double in the opener

With Paige Bueckers, Angel Reece, and Clark among others, the league has personalities that can take them into a golden era

Clark was all sorts of awesome with some of the dimes she dropped in that game.

Reece with the back push, then flop from (and tough girl) reaction to Clark's take foul was hilarious. Jelly as.

Can't believe Clark got a flagrant for that. The refs were watching a different game

    Reece is fucking absurd.

The assault that the league has put on Clark since she came in, and Reece has the hide to get uppity about a legitimate hard foul after she herself pushed off to get the rebound?

    She’s so lame

Honestly surprised that someone in the league offices hasn't tried to convene a meeting between the two players and said "you guys have a chance to emulate what Bird & Magic did for the NBA in the 80s and lift women's basketball to another level "......

Instead it seems like the animus between the players is just another front in the interminable culture wars. It feels like they are really blowing this.

That’s some BS right there man. Reese and others have so much animosity towards Clark for the fame she has, it’s just embarrassing. Some of the footage from the season is just thuggery

Clark was roughly treated, I agree. And she faced a lot of jealousy from some in the league, and elders such as Sheryl Swoopes. But even Reese herself is on record denying beef, they are just super competitive on court

I think the opposite is true, the beef is bringing eyeballs. I wouldn't watch WNBA if it was the last sport left on earth, but my twitter feed has somehow been full of this crap for the last week.

If you like watching Women’s rugby you’ll enjoy watching the WNBA

    If you don’t, you won’t

Angel is not too bright and the way she plays and conducts herself shows that.

Forget the Bird and Magic comparison because both of those guys were actual ballers, whereas only Clark has superstar status written all over her.

Reese is basically Ben Wallace without the defence.

@MiketheSnow Sabrina, Stewie, Jones and Cloud combo is going to be a problem for the rest of the league. The Lynx have 3 players that can hang with this quartet, but I think NY are front runners for repeat with the Lynx and Fever close behind.
