It's not all about Clark, Indiana has a team.
Atlanta too

Angel is not too bright and the way she plays and conducts herself shows that.
Forget the Bird and Magic comparison because both of those guys were actual ballers, whereas only Clark has superstar status written all over her.
Reese is basically Ben Wallace without the defence.

NY looking sharp. Chicago, not so much
-
@MiketheSnow Sabrina, Stewie, Jones and Cloud combo is going to be a problem for the rest of the league. The Lynx have 3 players that can hang with this quartet, but I think NY are front runners for repeat with the Lynx and Fever close behind.

The bet that just prints money…..

Cracking contest, great skills

The WNBA is on the precipice of its 'Fosbury Flop' moment.
At the moment the game is all about accurate shooting, ball movement, great passing, quick transitions, speed, driving into the paint for finger rolls and lay ups hoping to draw a foul.
Once the first player starts dunking then that will give agency for everyone to have a go and for teams to start recruiting lumbering trees.
Which will be to the detriment of the game IMHO.

They've already had players dunk the ball haven't they? I remember Lisa Lesley doing it for the Sparks about 20 years ago, a number of players including Britney Griner have dunked many times

She's shooting 27% for the year and career 38% - with so many of those shots from such close range .
It’s wild that she get so much attention when she actually a terrible player

@canefan is right that dunks have been made before. But there is no way that it changes the game as there just aren’t enough (any) athletes that can play above the rim the way the men do. A one-hand one-foot dunk on a fast break with nobody around you is one thing, leaping off 2 feet to throw it down with force or dunking on or near someone else in the half court is a totally different beast
I don’t see the WNBA changing anytime soon. They’ll get quicker and better at shooting (already happening), but they’re not taking to the skies

Another cracking match
Interesting no call at the death

I couldn't see if that strip on Clark was a foul or not.
That's great basketball, more relatable to what I know than the men's game. Great passing, cutting, the game is more pure when you can't rely purely on physicality and acrobatics.
It shouldn't have come down to that anyway. The Fever were up by a good margin but couldn't get any buckets late in the game, as NY erased the deficit

Given the soft foul they called right before that, that sent Sabrina to the line, Clark most certainly should’ve got that call.
Swings and roundabouts though when it comes to ref calls.
Just on the athleticism side of the game, there’s a French girl that is actually dunking with a bit of force and ease. Not scraping it in like the way I used to dunk. There was a girl playing college that was catching alley oops albeit on the break but still impressive.
But these are very much still in the minority and I can’t see the game changing too much in the near future as a result of the odd dunker.

Death, taxes and….

Like I said Ben Wallace without the defence. Ben had double digit rebounds and was a genuine rim protector, but was a poor offensive player despite trying to do more than he was at times.
All her fluffers that she has in the media will say “look at the rebound numbers, she works so hard” and when anyone wants to provide any constructive feedback about the shooting %, the funky form, the almost out of control (and rushed) shot attempts, the trying to be Magic Johnson but turns it over like Tragic Bronson - they will be labelled haters and the fluffing will get louder.

Because their reactions don’t get old

i like the term coined seemingly just for Ms Reese
