i think my prediction on here after they added KD was they would win the lot.

I make awful predictions all the time that never come to pass. I should work in sports "journalism"

There were a few other factors too. They couldn’t rebound - 27th in the league. The whole “who’s their centre” started to play out plus the drama.
Most of the defensive rating stats weren’t great either.

But it does come back to the makeup of the team as opposed to KD being this or that.

Yep, but KD was a big part in the make-up of that team. He wanted Beal and Budenholzer. Ironically Budenholzer had KD playing like he was Khris Middleton lol.

The owner Matt Ishbia gets a lot of shit, but he catered to his players wants and aged like shit for them.

The East is going to be wide open

    • No Tatum
    • No Halliburton
    • Knicks TBA coach

The champion will probably still emerge out of the West

OKC should be able to hold on to most of their pieces - run it back!

For one more year anyway before those guys get the chance to get properly paid - be interesting to see if they take a haircut to stay together. History says that’s unlikely

27/6/4 is average? The team was average yes, but KD was ballin out. He missed a few games sure, but there was far too much drama going on there.

Maybe i'm being harsh. For KDs standards I thought he was v average. He's still a good shooter but he can't drive effectively. Didn't play much defense. Didn't lead well when Book was out.

Unfortunately i'm a Suns fan so watched alot of it.

I'm pretty happy with the return we got considering the Suns had zero leverage. Was expecting us to get absolutely shafted.

    He also shot .527 / .420 / .839 - those are crazy numbers

But more importantly, he is exactly what Houston needed

Booker was way more problematic for you guys than KD this year, though in truth all your issues go back to the terrible Beal trade. You’ve basically turned Cam Johnson and Mikal Bridges and 4 1st round draft picks into jalen green, Brooks and a 10th pick.

    Oops

    Ouch.

Agree. There will come a point where they will have to make a decision on one of their big 3 not to pay them to keep the likes of Wallace, Wiggins, Dort

They are sitting on a ton of draft picks so if they choose well they can reload

Michael Porter Jnr traded to the Nets for Cam Johnson. Nice move by the Nuggets.

    Some other moves/transactions:

    • Along with acquiring Cam Johnson, it looks as if Bruce Brown is headed back to the Nuggets (another solid move).
    • D’Angelo Russell to the Mavs (they need a point guard until Kyrie returns around Jan 2026).
    • Hawks have been active getting Porzingas along with T’Wolves Alexander-Walker and Grizzlies Luke Kennard
    • Hornets pick up Colin Sexton
    • Cavs get Lonzo Ball (that is good news for Giddey)
    • end of an era, Looney is leaving the Warriors to go to New Orleans.

Capela and Finney-Smith to the Rockets as well.

@African-Monkey Rockets compiling a deep roster. Doesn’t look good for Aussie Landale with Sengun, Adams and Capela. Have to make a decision on him by next Monday.

They waived their other Aussie McVeigh who was on a 2-way. Hopefully McVeigh can find another home.

Dame waived by the bucks to get a center upgrade a bit better than the guy they just lost.

For a team that doesn’t control its draft assets they are now losing every year for another few years trying to scratch around to keep the freak.

If they can package up Kuzma to get someone better, given it is the Easy, maybe? They look fucked to me.

Think they’ll trade the freak? That would be huge.

If I were him I’d want to get out. That team won’t win a ring.

They should while they can get a decent haul of high draft picks

Yep. If he does it quietly without any silly ultimatums, then the fan base won’t go ape and Giannis will still be the favourite son when he leaves.

He already said he is receptive to a trade. The fanbase aren't stupid, he is last man standing right now, if he left to help the franchise rebuild for the future I think they would understand
