June Internationals

Hugely understrength England 15, even by the standards of these end of season baa baas games. Includes a 19 yo lock with two AP appearances starting and an 18yo flanker in the bench. Plenty more players who are unlikely to pick up a full cap, so a win would be a big ask.
Would be surprised if Franks made it as he was sent off for punching in the Championship (2nd tier) final last night. Unless the citing process doesn't have time to run its course by the weekend.

It doesn't look like the Barbarians games will be televised in NZ, but there will be livestreams. I won't post links to illegal streams in this thread, if only because they might be taken down more quickly.
Anyway, I've started adding channels to the schedule in the first post. If I find links to official streams, I'll add them, too. This might be very close to kick-off time. If you find official streams, please, post the links in this thread and I'll add them to the schedule.

13-0 to England at half time. Baabaas had a few good chances, but couldn't convert them into points. The score doesn't completely reflect the game. The Baabaas made some errors that can be blamed on the squad being together for only a short time.
-
Pathetic refereeing in this game. Ref has been quite condescending all game and now he sends Baabaas prop Nariashvili to the bin. No idea what for, but it can't have been anything serious. Something went wrong in the scrum. Ref is clearly forgetting what kind of game this is.
-
Danny Care scores at full time and England win 28 to 14.
Deserved win, but the decision to disallow a try by Jeremy Thrush for the Baabaas was somewhat controversial.Hard to make more comments on the game. My stream was constantly interrupted by buffering (but I couldn't find a better one) and that was quite distracting.

Deliberate knock-ons (without any intention to catch the ball), are they not yellow-carded in the NH like in Super Rugby?
Maybe your stream buffered at wrong moment? Care looked to be trying to catch it, as far as I could see. Officials seemed to read it that way too.

Yeah, I saw it live, but it started buffering straight after, so if they showed replays of that knock-on, I couldn't watch it. My impression was that he didn't genuinely try, but that impression may have been wrong.

8 Kelly Meafou (West Harbour, AUST)Head Coach Namuluaulu Alama Ieremia said the squad represented a solid mix of experience and new and upcoming talent.
“We are delighted with the squad we have named today. We have some very experienced players in the squad, but we have also ensured we have injected some new energy into this playing group.
“Samoa Rugby has been going through a period of healthy change, and we believe we’ve picked a solid squad for the upcoming season.
“We kick off our campaign as we did two years ago, with the opportunity of a lifetime to play against the World Champion All Blacks. Then we play Wales in Apia plus our World Cup qualification test matches against our brothers from Tonga and Fiji”
“While Apia Park will always be our true home ground, the fact that we are playing at Eden Park signals an opportunity to call that ground, our home away from home with all our supporters and families in Auckland and NZ,” he said.
“We have a huge international season ahead of us, and like other Pacific nations we have to manage the fact our talent comes from all around the world.
“Unfortunately some talented players were not available this season because of injury, but it has also given us the opportunity to blood in new talent,” he said.
Samoa Rugby Union has today also announced the appointment of former All Black Aaron Mauger as assistant coach.
Namulauulu Alama Ieremia said:
“After discussing earlier in the year this opportunity, I am grateful to have someone of Aaron’s calibre join our coaching team. His coaching pedigree is much in demand around the world, and he will fill an area of need in our coaching setup that will assist us greatly.”Aaron Mauger said: “I am very humbled and excited about this opportunity. Manu Samoa Rugby has always had a strong place in my heart due to family bloodlines and I have always been a close follower and proud supporter of the team over the years.
“I feel very privileged to be able to join the team and help them through a very important period in Samoa Rugby. This team is a great fit for me and the timing is good.
“The opportunity to work alongside some good people in a team that has a rich culture and strong connections with its people appeals to me immensely,” Mauger said.

Only picking local players seems untenable when you only have one team and it's crap.
Imagine if the Kiwis could only pick players from the Warriors?
Quite a nice little development tour for Lucky Eddie considering how depleted his squad is.

That's a bloody young squad. The second row has 31 caps, and Carter makes nearly half of those.
The back row has three rookies. Capable young men but jeez...
There are a lot of * marking potential debutants in this squad. Fiji, Scotland, and Italy will have raised eyebrows...
