    OK, I've gained 600 grams this week (!) but haven't felt this good for a while. I finally have a diet and exercise routine in place, and have enjoyed both the running and cycling. I feel I've lose weight around the jowls, but I must be putting it on somewhere else. Anyway, other than the weight, it's been a bloody good week!<br />
    <br />
    MvJ's resolution for next week is  more of the same but with alcohol-free nights tonight, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. <br />
    <br />
    So let's have your results for the last week below please lads.

    Dropped 1 kg and beat my PB time for 20km bike ride. No change in measurements as yet. Got laid.<br />
    <br />
    That is all.

    Dropped 1kg, went through some sugar detox thing (massive headaches, fever) which was farking horrible. Met my exercise target, had no alcohol or fizzy drinks, could improve on the diet but the junk food was cut down alot.<br />
    <br />
    Hope to see the results of this week pay dividends next week.

    Put on 1 kg  😢 but 2 people did tell me they thought that I had lost weight :happy:  :nta<br />
    <br />
    Gym x 1 Pilates x 1 Fast walk x 1<br />
    <br />
    Alcohol free M-Th.  4.5 litres beer and 1 bottle wine over wkend.<br />
    <br />
    Food - much better than normal.  No takeaways. 1 pkt crisps and a couple of cornetto's preventing me from being an 👼<br />
    <br />
    Struggling with the grazing concept but persevering.  Would have helped to have actually lost weight for all this sanctimoniousness.<br />
    <br />
    I blame Deans....... and the scales.

    Still at same weight but probably lucky I stayed off the beer over the weekend and exercised both days. Like Bartmans the hands are taking a punishing from the rowing machine, so will having to get hard quickly or buy some gloves  :nta, which is a bit of a soft option but what the fark, I work in an office not on the farm. <br />
    <br />
    Better eating patterns though and probably still going through the detox period. Not feeling hungry for all the crap so it augurs well for the next couple of weeks, hopefully. <br />

    Coastie, under no circumstances should you stoop to glove-wearing. In my rowing days, anyone who even thought about wearing them was roundly lambasted and shamed into quitting the sport. You don't want that.<br />
    <br />
    Toughen up. The more trashed your hands get, the harder they'll become.

    Fair enough Red Bull. Today on the rowing machine was better so calluses are obviously getting into the groove.

    get a sharp stanley knife (one with snap of blades), and trim those bastards off coastie.  If you grow some big arse calluses,you end upblistering beside them.  I trim them once a week.Hold the blade almost flat to the hand though, and gently trim away - you'll be amazed at the hunks of skin you can trim!!

    MvJ can't believe that there has been a thread about calluses on hands and NTA hasn't sought to make a contribution  :nta<br />
    <br />
    In my experience, if you're going to venture off topic it  helps somewhat if Bartman or Kirwan is an active participant  <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /><br />

    NTA has been warned about flippancy. While NTA would ordinarily remain defiant, NTA realises that without TSF there is not much else to do at work.

    <br />
    My stomach gained 1cm 😕 😕, wife thinks thats due to a piss poor measurement last week.

    Yeah its tricky to get proper measurements mark. I find the problem is compression of body fat - sometimes you pull the tape a bit harder to get a better result <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

    Whooh hooh! That's 6kg of fat collectively skimmed from Ferners already (ignoring the two of us that have been packing it on). Good job mark_s-- 4kg!

    Maybe we should look at it in proportionate terms as the heavy weights like me do have a bit of an advantage.<br />
    <br />
    I have added incentive now to lose more kegs - the work insurance company has told me that they will not provide me with DII insurance due to my height to weight ratio (i.e. BMI).  The fuckers.

    have you explained that a panel of leading experts (i.e. us lot) have determined BMI to be a complete load of shit for well tuned rugby athletes such as us? :whistle:
