Do you think Buckman and Weber might stake a claim for the EOYT?
Have missed a few games this season but seeing Bucky got taken into the squad do you think that he might get a look in for the EOYT?
Seeing TKB is off after the RC (I believe) will Weber slot in there? From what I have seen he has been behind a shit house forward pack so wouldn't have helped his cause but surely he is ahead of hall/drummond/pulu?

Hopefully playing for the crap Magpies of this year wont hinder their chances!

I guess for Bucky it depends on the makeup of the squad.

I think that's key. I had a discussion with some mates yesterday about who of the Magpies would have Super Rugby contracts for next year and we also were worried that the bad season might have decreased the chances of some young players to get WTG contracts (for ex, Mikaele-Tu'u).

Last week, I read an interview with one of the ABs coaches (can't remember which one and can't find the article anymore) and he more or less admitted to already having picked the third halfback but refused to say who it was.

Based on the Mitre 10 Cup season, I suspect it might be Mitch Drummond, but I seriously hope it is Weber. I expect him to be in the Maori All Blacks squad though.

I don't give Bucky much chance. I think, especially because Havili can also play in the midfield and Jack Goodhue is in the mix and playing well, that Bucky will miss out. Not sure whether his age might also work against him amidst those young players.

@stargazer Looking at the way The Barracuda plays seems like he might have a chance of a decent high priced contract somewhere in France where the way the way they play really suits good solid hardworking players that do the basics well and make very few mistakes, tidy up others errors and make the initial break, or beat on rushing defenders without really attracting "star" headlines.

@higgins Eeeeww, don't say that! I'm so glad he has re-signed with the Landers for 2018, but already fear he won't be back with the Magpies next season. He has "that" age for going overseas. 😞
