and for one reason and another (not lack of motivation just other priorities) have not done as much exercise the back end of this week. So am pleased to have convinced the scales to trend downwards regardless - if not by as much as previous weeks.<br />
<br />
Back on the horse from today.<br />

<br />
And there is the beauty of understanding how it actually works - you know what you need to do to correct it.<br />
<br />
2 or 3 years ago my attitude to weight loss was very immature, particularly from an eating point of view. I'd have a bad weekend and throw it all in, claiming it was too hard or not working. Fat* people say "why deny yourself?" because self-denial is hard work in the age of buy-now-pay-later.<br />
<br />
The people losing weight in this forum know that it works far better if you pay now, and reap the rewards forever. You can have that bad weekend occasionally, because you've done the work. Then when you get back on that horse you'll whip that little bastard until he's in a lather.<br />
<br />
I had a pig of a weekend - weighed in Saturday at 95.6 in peak calorie management mode, then blew it all in the next two days to weigh in Monday at 97.6. Today I was 96.8 and it'll drop again tomorrow because I'm right where I need to be eating-wise.<br />
<br />
Had a bit of an epiphany yesterday after watching a couple of videos on here and doing my workout. I realised I'm actually able to work a lot harder and should aim to mix up my exercise a hell of a lot more. The only thing holding me back are mental boundaries I've set myself.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
* I feel perfectly comfortable using the term "Fat" to describe overweight people. Many wouldn't but lets face it - the reason we have an obesity problem is not just that shit food is widely available, but that people pussy foot around the issues for fear of hurting someone's feelings. The weakness of modern society isn't physical, its mentally not being able to handle adversity. -
Not as fat as I was <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/rugby/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /><br />
<br />
Still fat though ... <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/rugby/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> -
Okey dokey - time to check in.<br />
<br />
106.0kg Lost 0.3kg this week, 7.5kg overall in 7 weeks.<br />
<br />
Measurements:<br />
Chest 108cm (+3cm, -2 overall)<br />
Waist 106cm (+4cm, -2 overall)<br />
Hips 106cm (+1cm, -2 overall)<br />
<br />
Hmmm ...<br />
<br />
Little bit pissed with the weight as a couple of days ago I weighted myself at 105.5 (which I was for twoi days running - Sat & Sun) and did nothing untoward in between times. However - then I have to say to myself - hey I lost 300g this week. Cool. So not THAT pissed. Must be all lthe muscle I'm putting on <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/rugby/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> .<br />
<br />
Think I may have fucked up my measurements though ... something odd happneing there. -

FAT FAT FAT. Yep, don't be afraid to use that word, dead bloody right. Only time to pussy foot around that is with kids when they're not mentally hard enough to say it. But adults - YOU sir, are FAT. Nothing wrong with that!!<br />

<br />
Yeah my mates and I have no issue calling eachother fat fluffybunnys if someone has been stretching the shirt or jeans a bit much. Womenfolk you have to be a bit more delicate with..... -

<br />
Absolutely - I would never say "fat fluffybunny" when referring to a female. "Fat bitch" works far better <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/rugby/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':yes:' /> -

Rightio - I checkd this morning and I'm 105.4kg ... perhaps yesterday was an aberation or I mis-timed my morning bodily functions ... ???<br />
<br />
<br />
Those fluctuations piss me right off some days. After 94.9 on Monday I have been 95.3 and 95.4 the next two days.<br />
<br />
But then I ask myself "when was the last time you weighed in under 96 three days in a row?" and smile to myself <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/rugby/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /><br />
<br />
I haven't done a lot of pure aerobic work in that time. Today I'm riding the bike to and from work, and will do hundred pushups tonight. Tomorrow, who knows? Might still be mid 95, might not. As long as I'm doing regular exercise, and watching the diet going into Saturday's weigh and measure, I should keep meeting my goals. -
rookie mistakes (and one that I'd still be making, but I keep forgetting to weight myself). Weigh yourself once a week. AT most. Same time, same place etc. Not daily, not unless you are leaning down for a bodybuilding contest...<br />
<br />
and THEN it can really fark with your brain...! -
I do it mainly because of dinner. My wife puts a fair bit of variety into her cooking, so while the basic rules always hold true (pasta and rice are useless, watch the quantity) sometimes its good to know what effect the day to day is having when new recipes are put on the table.<br />
<br />
Plus it provides good scare tactics towards the official weigh in - keeps me on the straight and narrow. -
Weighing daily doesn't phase me. WHat pissed me off was I only lost 0.3kg this week. That would have pissed me off whether I knew I was lighter a day either side or not. Until I put it in perspective (a littloe) and accepted that I had lost 0.3kg this week.
-
Whoops - check in yesterday.<br />
<br />
105.2kg Lost 0.8kg this week, 8.3kg overall in 8 weeks.<br />
<br />
Really quite pleased with that loss. Had a big weekend as down in Brisbane for a work piss up and made the most of it <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/rugby/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> .<br />
<br />
Measurements:<br />
... watch this space ... wrote them down and they're at home .. will update later. -
Fluid or a slight mistake getting the tape in the right place mate <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/rugby/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /><br />
<br />
I do my measurements in front of the mirror to make sure I get it consistent and level around the back. -

I might have read the worng side of the tape ... -
Weekly check in.<br />
<br />
105.0kg Lost 0.2kg this week, 8.5kg overall in 9 weeks.<br />
<br />
Measurements:<br />
Chest 110cm (+3cm, nil overall - obviosuly working hard on my pecs ???)<br />
Waist 101cm (-0cm, -7 overall)<br />
Hips 100cm (-2cm, -8 overall)<br />
<br />
Bit slow this week. I blame Mrs boo for leading me astray and poruing booze down my throat. Need to refocus. Still a loss of weight though - but need to up the effort. -
Week 10...<br />
<br />
104.6kg Lost 0.4kg this week, 8.9kg overall in 10 weeks.<br />
<br />
Measurements:<br />
Chest 106cm (-4cm, -4 overall)<br />
Waist 100cm (-1cm, -7 overall)<br />
Hips 102cm (+2cm, -8 overall)<br />
<br />
Still trending down - got to be good. Really can't follow what I'm doing with my measurements - I think I lack consistency there... -
belt - looser = good, tighter = bad.<br />
<br />
Tee shirts - tighter on chest while belt is looser = good. Tighter on chest AND belly while belt is also tighter = very bad.<br />
<br />
Those are about the only measures I take, although with my dodgy bicep getting better, I might run a tape over both of them to see what size has changed....
