Nice! Highlights of Jonah Lomu playing for the Baabaas are shown during the break! Maybe not super-speed, but certainly super-strength.

I notice on Nasi Manu's Instagram he was on the Tongan bus and in their sheds. Always wondered if he'd turn out for Tonga. Hope that's a sign he might be involved in their World Cup campaign. Too good of a player to play Test rugby.

Looks like Ben Tameiafuna is trying to enter the record books as the heaviest player ever to play international rugby.

And as I write that he leaves the field, probably seen the Dial a Pizza delivery van pulling up at the ground with the me'akai for the changing rooms, first in first served after all!

Great try from Vailanu. Tonga takes the lead 19 - 15.

Meanwhile, that rain just won't stop. Very wet game. Hope all players can swim.

    LOL

The result is a try to the Baabaas, scored by Jordi Murphy. Du Preez converts and it's 22 - 19 to the Baabaas.

Andy Ellis dots down. After a driving maul. Not sure what he was doing in that maul, but that's the Baabaas for you! 😀

    27 - 19 Baabaas.

Vailanu scores again, but the try goes unconverted. The score is 27 - 24 to the Baabaas. Time's almost up.

    Full time: Barbarians 27 - 24 Tonga.

Considering the horrible conditions, a very wet field, this was an entertaining match. Tonga kept on going until the final whistle.
Players looked exhausted at the end.

Robert du Preez was named Man of the Match.

That's pretty rough on every other no 8 to play the game

Not only did Georgia (12th in the World ranking) absolutely smash Canada (24th), look at that try in the 67th minute of the match!! 😲

Personally, I really think that a country like Georgia should be included in future EOYTs. If we play Italy, we should play Georgia! Maybe start with the Maori ABs?

Hopefully they can get enough sponsorship to afford a full size set of goalposts now

I reckon he was insisting on the TMO just so everybody could see on the big screen how awesome that was.

And he was right. I love watching the Georgians play. Great crowds, great noise, and their commentators get pretty excited too.

    Great win.
    We play them Saturday.
If we get involved in an arm wrestle then it could go horribly wrong.
But Canada showed that pace & width will undo them quite easily.
Would love to see Wales play Georgia in Tbilisi.
Football boys just came back and said it was a cracking trip.
I've skied in Georgia and the people, hospitality, food & drink is superb

Oh and the skiing is top notch

That is either freaking awesome pow or you need some decent pow skis. I want to play there on my board. Nothing like the feeling of floating over powder.

Awesome powder, and I ski a narrower platform twin tip set up.

You've got to be in it to win it IMHO.

Bit different on a board. Then it's all about the float.
