Not a great review, they're happy to have a gamble with it rather than save it for the howlers.

    Possibly tactical/respect for Kane too.

Just started drizzling at my place - probably 15 minutes before it gets to Saxton Oval - if it gets there

Does it look like it's going to hang around? Might be an abandonment if we don't get to 20 overs.

@cyclops Hard to say - it's supposed to swing away to the south and clear, but there's more crap coming from the north in the meantime.

Not without hope, but it's raining quite steadily so it also depends on how dry they need to get things before a resumption.

So 151 in 25 overs. Big jump in asking rate and who knows what the conditions will be like.

On the other hand Amir is bowled out, ashraf only has one left and their spinner hasn't bowled any. If we are good enough we should be able to target him as he'll basically have to bowl at the death.

    Demolition job by the Guppy.

Looks like Pakistan should have got some local advice on the weather from @Chris-B before the toss. Rain delays more often benefit the batting team these days given 10 an over for 10 overs is not seen as such a big deal if you have wickets in hand.

That said, awesome hitting from Guppy while Rosco just anchored at the other end which is all that was required.

Ideally we'd get 50 overs in but a very good start to the series. Pakistan an obvious step up, but we've adjusted well and put together a couple of clinical performances.

@no-quarter Or, they could have just looked at the Norwegians' forecast like I did. 🙂

Our top four in the shorter version of the game is as good as any in the world and gives me massive confidence every time.

Guppy is as good as any opener going around in the short form, Kane and Rosco are world class, and Munro can be damaging when he comes off. Makes for great viewing.
