Let's try again...
-
Run this morning - 5.04 in 26:33. Time nothing special but I wasn't feeling the most motivated. Walked another 2km home in 18:50.

Hopped on the scales and was 92.0 even, so a bit of work to do in the next 24 hours to crack last week's 91.6. Lots of water, minimal anything else.

Tomorrow will be halfway in the current cycle so if I get to 91, the result will look like something between 89 and 90 by the time I finish. Would like to get in under 89 and work on settling there before the next attempt come Spring. -

91.6 - quite happy after the beer and a can of Jim n Coke
Chest 107
Waist 96
Hips 102
Today

91.2
Chest 107
Waist 96
Hips 102

So this week I'll have to take it up a notch - more running for starters, along with incidental exercise like taking the stairs at work, removing the extra bits of sugar etc.

Three weeks to get under 90. -
Bro, you should smash 90 easy as. You've had a chance to catch your breath and relax for a few days and it's time to do work son!!
-
Run tonight - 5.01 km in 26:05

Walked 1 km home in 8:54

Put some snags on the barbie and, while they were cooking, settled in for some pull ups

12, 10, 6, 5, 5
5, 5, 4, 4, 4

Total 60

Makes up for no exercise yesterday... A bit
I hate autocorrect ... -
Shit. Have to go out to site for an install tomorrow because someone else dropped the custard. The problem is, I have to do it first thing because the rest of the day is booked with family shit and topped off with Tahs v pussy cats

So no run or weigh in tomorrow, and definitely not on Sunday after the rugby beers! -
Weekend was a write off, but at least I had some nice beers on Saturday.

Sunday was birthday lunch and movie (Despicable Me 2 - highly recommended if you know the first one).

The last three days have been 12+ hours on site trying to get 2 proof of concept systems running before they opened the store today. I got the second one running three hours after open...
This winter thing is getting me down. Well, that and a 60 hour week at work travelling halfway across the fucking city to get shit working. The point is - fuck weight loss. I'll let midwinter happen and reassess in August.

Though I saw some of the Xfit world games on ESPN and those dudes are pretty inspiring. Though I'm not into waxing... or dudes.

Might start a new thread. -
So the plan is to maintain current weight-ish?? You've knocked off some pretty gnarly challenges since you got this thread cranking again, and made mean progress. I guess the risk is slipping from 'fuck weight loss' to 'nom nom nom'!! -
Or scull, scull, scull given the Lions Tour is on!!
Yeah maintenance mode I suppose you could say. Time and motivation low - I really feel the cold now I'm not a funt.
Nick, what often happens when we get going really well is life events cause us to lose focus, then we can't get back into the routine and settle back to a lower level. I should know, I've done the same several times lately.

I really encourage you to put your foot down and stay at the same excellent level you've been, then when Spring comes keep pushing harder and stronger.

If you must, then revert to the What would Richie do? You know McCaw would be out there working his arse off all Winter.
Or if that cuts too close to a lot of bad rugby memories, then think of what Bartman would do. Remember he won several comps in October, after a whole Winter of 6am gym sessions.

Go for it! -
Understand completely what you're saying. I guess heading into solstice with the days getting shorter, plus last week at work (missing karate and my birthday dinner with the family into the deal) has stymied me.

Now that the planet is tilting back I'll have to dig deep and find the motivation. Watching my old club from the sidelines getting belted at scrum time also made me a little twitchy...

I bought some long sleeve tops from Kathmandu (on sale) today to use for running. I've got a week left in this weight loss cycle, in which I can make a fair bit of ground back from my current 92.3 kg, then will look to make July my back-on-track month.

The two year anniversary of me starting this serious weight loss is coming up (August 15, 2011 - 115.8 kg) so I'll use that as a goal.

And getting back on the Brazil nuts. Those things are ace for good vibes - I'm lead to believe it's the selenium.
