Makalio's skillset is ridiculous. Sublime skills.

    Yellow for Chris Eves.

Aumua is looking good. Strong ball runner.

@kiwimurph I know I sound like a broken record, but I really would like to see him in the ABs. Much better than Harris and Coltman. Should be next in line after Taylor and Coles.

Tough call on the forward pass.

@crazy-horse Yeah, I had my doubts about that call. It was just really flat. Looked good to me.

Geez, Christie has stuffed up several almost-tries now. Great break from David Havili.

Jordan is one of those players that always seems to be in support whenever a break is made. Reminds me of Ben Smith.

Ball handling from Ta$man is really, really good. Nice team try.

Oh FFS, I'm switching between this match and Thurston's last match and I swear I've missed every try in both games!

My own fault, I should have put one on FoxGo.

For all Gatland's good work he is often error prone.

Agreed. Asafo Aumua is another in the frame if he can keep his weight down.

It has to be said. Frizell has been very good tonight. Other forwards standing out: Makalio, Blackadder & Strange.

@kiwimurph The problem with Aumua is that he has shown very little since last year's NZU20s and Mitre 10 Cup, due to being injured. He's had very little time in SR.

Moala-Liava'a has improved since I last saw him. He used to have hands like feet. Looks fitter too.

Lomax has been good, but points for the Duane Monkley medal? Hmm, there were better players IMO. Don't agree with Christie as MotM either.

Harbour were well beaten this evening, showed some ticker when they were down a player, but in the main I thought the 12 point scoreline flattered them.

Should have been more comfortable for Ta$man, but lots of little errors prevented the points being poured on and an inspired 10 minutes by Gatland brought Harbour into the game.

Five points up away from home and Hometown on the whistle is never comfortable! 🙂

Frizell had a pretty good game, but he's a long way from being a polished 8. Thought both Christie and Hunt made plenty of errors, among plenty of good stuff.

Tima Faingaanuku looked good in everything he did - as did Havili and Jordan. Big Aumua was always hard to stop.

Scrum was very strong - lineout had a couple of misfires. Forwards involved in a lot of the game.

Aumua should consider moving to hooker. He's certainly big enough and could be very dynamic in that position.
