Suprised to be leading after getting dominated for large parts of it. Perofeta's made a difference for this Taranaki side and Tamanivalu has been hard to stop. Still a lot of work to do.

I reckon Auckland look far more likely. Just territory and position keeping Taranaki in it :smiling_face_with_open_mouth_cold_sweat:

With the wind, we're a good shot. Just have to execute well. There appears to be a lot of wind, too

    Another short kick causing trouble.

Plummer is standing a bit too deep to start this half.

Liking what I'm seeing from Akira, but I think Florence has been all industry and has the upper hand over Papali'i tonight,

Did Florence punch Plummer there? Just a little pop.

Auckland forwards lacking their steel tonight. Tamanivalu and Perofeta have made defending much harder.

Same as the first half - our outside backs are playing really well; their forwards are playign really well

Beautiful try. Taranaki trying to tie up the insides, starting with Ioane from the scrum.

I'm no expert, but I feel like Auckland should be trying to open the game up to take their forwards out of it 🤔

It's a failing of a lot of NZ teams. Not willing to use the conditions to play territory rugby. Having 80 m behind you makes the game a lot easier

I agree, except 77m would be better than 80 a lot of the time

Blowing over the ball, adn then going to ground is what cost the Crusaders a Super rugby title in 2011. It really shits me that it gets reffed in such a variable way.

I don' tthink it should be a penalty, but damn it i fyou don't put yourself in the hands of the ref when you do it

@anonymous Hard to do without a good platform. Especially in a tight game.
