Sooo, pretty good training week. 15, 15-10, 5-10-15 sets are brutal but do the job.
Was with the new gf (yes that shit is official) for long weekend and went for some long runs. So cool to have a running partner. Plenty of other exercise too. That must burn the calories!

Training all over the place with school holiday activities and erm other activities that make early rising difficult. But the other activities must count as training surely?
Anyway, first swim yesterday! That is the bomb. Best training. Adult training now offered at the boy's swim club so am looking to do that twice a week. Add 4 weight sessions and 2 cardio and I should be a bbbbbeast come summer.

Went to the gym twice the today. Haven't done that in forever. Legs on the morn and chest/biceps in afternoon. Really good actually.

Weekend not the best training wise. Lost of house work then tested out the whole Brady Bunch thing. Went incredibly well. Shit is snowballing faster than a mofo. Not sure whether to be excited or scared. Wasn't that long ago I was stressing about dick picks....
Anyway. Legs today. Went in walking fine, walked out wobbling like a bitch. Must have been a decent session!

Shoulders this morning. Always pretty good. First day of swimming tomorrow. Just bought the swimming shorts. Less gay than budgie smugglers, but still a bit weird. Will be very interesting to see how I look and feel a month from now.

Am: 5km run plus oval intervals at the end. Smashed.
PM: Swimming training. That was some humbling shit. The 13 year old girl in the lane beside me was kicking my arse. Haven't done farking butterfly since high school. Cramped up like a mofo doing butterfly kick on back. And those IMs! Farks you up. But loved it. Great training. Gives you a killer pump. Definitely happy to incorporate it.

Thursday: Was still annihilated after previous day, but had to get up early for son's swimming so went to gym. Good chest and biceps session actually. Great thing about swimming is that you don't feel sore the next day despite having an awesome workout.
Friday: There was a lesson scheduled for 5 and did actually set the alarm for 4:30 but fark that. Would have just destroyed the day. Instead got up at 6:30 and did back and triceps. Good sesh. Might go for swimming tommorrow morning but might be at gf tonight. Shame that there's only one evening session. Rest are at stupid o'clock.

Pitiful training effort on the weekend in the traditional sense due to rain and um er other commitments. Managed an evening session of the legs yesterday which went well despite my aversion to training at that time. Shoulders this morning which went well.
Heap of work on so won't be the perfect week which is annoying. Want to get a good month of 2-3 swimming sessions mixed in to see the results. Really quite excited about that.

New gf is an exercise physiologist, who teaches pump, step etc classes in her spare time. Absolutely smitten. Met her fairly early in the piece but was wary of getting too involved. Can't help it now. She's just brilliant and terrific with my boys as well, which is of course of vital importance. Things are snowballing like a farging avalanche.
So sorry @MN5 my dickpick days appear over before they even started.

Swimming this evening. Struggled like a mofo but felt better as it went on. That is some intense shit. Did a 20 minute run beforehand but I don't think that was advisable. Not enough fluids. Will have to prepare better. But felt absolutely terrific after I'd gotten home and had plenty to drink. Really into this now 👍

5 days. Fark.
So following swimming was chest and biceps on Thursday and back and tris on Friday. All good. Was going to do morning swimming on Saturday (5:45 - rude) but gf was over and that was never going to happen. Tbh I'm not keen on showing her my "skills" in the water. She was a rep swimmer and could most likely destroy me at half pace.So no swimming but great run on Sunday before a massive thunder storm hit.
Today: Swimming at 6 this morning. Felt great. Morning much more agreeable. Have to get a proper pair of flippers though.
Will go leg session this evening.
So I think it's pretty much pencilled in going forward:
Monday: Swimming am. Legs pm
Tuesday: Shoulders
Wednesday: Interval run am. Swimming PM.
Thursday: Chest and biceps.
Friday: Possibly am swimming. Definitely am or pm back and triceps.
Saturday: Possibly am swimming.
Sunday: Long run.I joined TSF in 2004. My 25 year old self would have fainted seeing that. Better late that never I guess.
