@Stargazer Suprised he did stay in Auckland tbh. Most of them that get imported from out of Auckland end up going back to their provinces.

Ratima is throwing some terrible hospital passes, by the way.

Now, why did they replace Leo Thompson? One of the best players in the Maori squad? 🤔

Sky mistake; Thompson didn't go off. Time to bring his brother on. Let's confuse those Fijians and let them think they're seeing double.

Tyrone Thompson comes on. Great first line-out throw.

Following scrum close to the Fiji try line and Bracewell scores off a Fijian mistake.

    Maori U20 33 - 24 Fiji U20

Several cases of cramp in the Fiji U20 squad at the moment. Short injury break. Now a scrum not far from the Maori try line.

You could wait for it after all those scrums near the Maori try line. Try Fiji.

    Maoir U20 33 -31 Fiji U20 after 68 minutes

@Stargazer Good crowd building here in Rotorua ,ground looks good, it does do my head in, that we had a really good afternoon weather wise and you do wonder why this game was not played a few hours earlier ..can understand all the reasons why they play night rugby..first five for the Māori under 20s looked really good

@Steven-Harris The Bay has produced quite a few good 10s in recent years. Since Ihaia West: Tiaan Falcon, Lincoln McClutchie, Zarn Sullivan and the next one, still at school, will be Lattrel Smiler-Ah Kiong (Hastings Boys). I hope the HBRU will lock Smiler in asap.

First five Zarn Sullivan and second five Leo Thompson were definitely the best for the Maori U20. Lock Keelan Whitman looked good, too. Good bench impact from Tyrone Thompson, Sam Smith and Isaac Bracewell.
