Actually disagree with official on this play from the Kellerway knock on..to me 2 x wide passes were thrown before Wainu knocks on..that’s advantage over in my opinion

Taranaki dominating. Wainui looks good in 13. Hopefully he gets a chance at 13 next year for the Chiefs. Tahuriorangi playing well. Potroz too.

Can't trust that clock on screen, apparently.

    Full time: Counties 29 - 34 Taranaki

Taranaki earning one bonus point; Counties getting two.

Another good quality game despite the wet ground conditions congratulations to Taranaki ..CM will wonder after dominating at set piece how they actually lost this game..,just the odd error when it really mattered.

Thought TTT and Waite controlled the game and were the real difference ..also Sowakula in the boot was very good along with Sean Wainui who the best for the Naki.
For CM ,Thought the skipper Henwood was superb, Joe Royal very good around the field and with his lineout throwing
Great to see SBW play out a full 80 minutes ,and take control from that midfield position ..a good 7.5/10 performance from the big man

Taranaki get the win but really need to work in their set piece or they are going to struggle against other sides!
Counties have a good scrum and offloading game but need to learn how to defend, gave up way too many points in that first half.

@Steven-Harris And SBW looked like he was playing a competitive game. When I've seen him recently he's not looked like he's putting everything into it and at club and preseason games you can understand that to a certain extent

@DrivingMaul would have been really interesting to see SBW go the full distance if he had grabbed that intercept

What the hell was I watching?!
Counties scrum turned back the clock to the good old days of Spiers Ketels and Dalton, but overall their game management and ball secuirity was a horror show.
Ltes be honest. SBW's best days are long gone, and he looked gun-shy for most of that match, the comms kept talking about SBW injecting himself. Well, I wish he would,. Blow me, arpart from a few nice touches in the first spell, and a decent break towards the end, he was nowhere to be seen. Japan-bound on that showing? I hope not but he will probably go barring injury.
Kellaway was a revelation at the back, he was fizzing in that last quarter if only he could have linked up with his wing three-quarters.
We were killed at the breakdown by Boshier, Brown and Sowakula, the TO rate must have been off the scale.
Decision making. Yes still a ways to go there - I want to see improvement in the coming weeks.
And what the hell is that thing in the middle of the badge these days??

Is it just my bias or do most of SBWs 'round the corner' passes actually go forward? Comms, ref and touch judge don't seem to think so.
