    Can't believe we've gone a week without this being dropped.

    It was on 'Divorce' last night - a great TV series btw

    Hang On Sloopy
    Real American (aka Hulk Hogan's theme song)
    Cotton-Eye Joe - Rednex (old folk song with multiple releases - this is the one from the 90s)
    Was going to say Ghostbusters but apparently Ray Parker Jr had another US top 5 hit.

    @Godder

    A different version - a different thread could consider singers hotter than Michelle Phillips, but it would be a short thread!

    This .
    I think they did those dirges Lucky Man and The drugs don’t work anymore as well . The only saving grace of that song is that they had to hand over most of the royalties to the Stones for ripping off one of their songs .

    @jegga Re the royalties, Jagger and Richards recently signed them over to Ashcroft.

    @MiketheSnow I wasn't sure, was trawling an online list. Clearly their definition is not as stringent as ours

    Gossssh some amazing tunes in here but only got half way through when I noticed a big red "BANNED" next to @Rancid-Schnitzel what have I missed?!? Update please and then I'll get back to the thread!

    Also... I recently saw the vid for deeply dippy on TV and didn't realise how camp it was I thought it was 90s music fashion back then in my youth... Great band.

    In the 60’s lots of American garage bands wanted to sound like the Beatles and the Stones.

    Of the former, it’s hard to get past the Knickerbockers. This amazing song still gets played in grocery stores and many people still think it is the Beatles.

    One of the very-best Stones ripoffs was The Chocolate Watchband.
