Don't you just love it when the penalty count is about sixteen four in your favour. Probably one of the reasons why my guys just can't seem to string much together. Too many interruptions from penalties stifling any lengthy buildups of forward pressure. In fact it is kind of like playing Clive or Colenso Pirates in the early 70s. They had they uncanny knack of dragging opposition teams down to their level on a regular basis. Sane thing is happening here tonight.

I thinks that’s probably the game..Good to see Southland making a game of it after the events of last week ,I actually think they will be kicking themselves big time with the opportunities they had not to mention GPT dumb action to have a try over turned..
They have actually looked more threatening in the backs..Marty McKenzie has been superb..
Hawkes Bay even though nowhere their best ,but when you can revert to your go to card it’s not a bad thing.

Fakatava offloads to McClutchie and it's try time again. Walking away with it now.

@NTA not to mention their discipline, that’s been the real killer for the Stags...and when your struggling even the 50/50 calls go against you..

Southland have just run on a reserve that looks to be about 150kg but suprise suprise he is wearing those grip things lineout jumpers have. Look forward to watching his lifters trying to hoist and hold him up!

What an awful performance ...but 41 points. Strange.

Southland can start their review by looking at Pleasants-Tate. What a spastic.
