That was Adams' and OKC's first shot of the game. Padding his stats now he is shooting 100% from behind the arc.

OKC has a big lead at HT: 62-35

The Breakers have had plenty of open looks but the shots aren't falling. Getting killed on transition too.

Final score was 110-84 to OKC. 72 pts in the paint for the Thunder from their superior size and athleticism.

@Bovidae least we won the 2nd half 48-49...

Just dominated in the paint and they kept pounding it in.

Yep, despite what their commentator said in the post-game wrap-up.

Some home cooking for the Kings tonight with a few crucial calls going their way. Good first hit out for our guys.

Hopson and C Webb played well providing plenty of scoring.

Wasn't a bad game, and at various points I thought the Breakers would win it. Sydney are stacked, so very hard to beat when they are also getting all the calls

Taipans go to Perth and flog them. I don't know how to prove it, but I reckon we would have the best record of anyone over there. We have some fun players to watch. We're very shallow though.

@mariner4life what a win! DJ Newbill was fired up. Deng is a tough match up for any team with his length and skill. Oliver came to play.

Cairns have 6-7 very good players and then it gets a bit scratchy after that. But if 4 of those 6-7 get 18+ every game, which they are a very capable of, you will be in every game.

A good 1st half by the Breakers against the Hawks shooting over 50% FG and 3 pt shots. Let's hope they don't go cold in the 2nd half again.

Loe went to hospital with a suspected fractured skull.

A 103-72 win to the Breakers. They could have done with some of those points against the Kings.

Yeah the Taipans! Now we've knocked over Melbourne.

Fun night at the basketball, plenty of fire.

I like this Taipans team. Heaps of talent, can score, and I saw a lot of fire in defense tonight.

Machado is an upgrade on Trimble. Oliver might be our most talented player since Craig. He's also built like a blindside.

Injury ravaged Breakers get a win against the Taipans. That RJ Barrett is some player

RJ Hampton. His long-range shooting looked much better than in the earlier games. The Breakers can't continue to play with such an undersized team and expect to win.

We played okay last night, but it showed that we are missing Finn.

When we had a big lead and Cairns started to make a run, that’s when you would bring on Finn to lift the energy and intensity. We looked so flat during that.

I’m not sure how long Loe is out for?

As for RJ, there needs to be periods in the game where he plays off the ball, so he can catch and shoot.

@ACT-Crusader I think Loe is out for a while as the Breakers did sign a temporary replacement but he isn't a centre. Having to start Abercrombie at PF and Ashley at C isn't ideal, particularly if the latter gets into foul trouble. And then Hopson got injured. Delany would certainly help with the depth up front but he isn't a true PF. Majok and Vodanovich did a good job of picking up the slack.

In a bid to keep an already strong season alive during an injury plagued period, the SKY Sport Breakers have brought in the NBA experience of Glen Rice Jr as a Nominated Injury Replacement Player to cover for Scotty Hopson. Hopson split a ligament in his knee against the Cairns Taipans last Thursday and there is still no definite date on when he will return. With starters Rob Loe and Finn Delany also injured, the Breakers have called up a free agent in Rice who will transform the side the moment he steps on court.

The Spinoff have a write up about the Breakers latest signing

    Madeleine Chapman  /  Nov 5, 2019  /  Sports

The Breakers just made a very dangerous hire

The Breakers' newest recruit has a history of violent behaviour on and off the court.

Lots of mentions of arrests but just the one mentioning an actual conviction. Still where there is smoke there is always fire. Surprising that he was given a visa to enter NZ let alone a work permit.

@Bovidae I hope this guy works out, there are plenty of sportsmen that behave pretty poorly off the court/field. It seems the majority of writers are licking their lips just waiting for Rice to fail.....but that seems to be the NZ sports landscape!

I kinda feel like we need more size, particularly in the defensive end...might help pick up some defensive boards too!
