In other photos it looks pretty big so being anorexic probably isn’t a requirement to crew it .

Yeah -The Flanker was the Sukhoi 27 as in the article (also known as F15 or 16 killer by the Russians had a nickname like the "Crane" - no idea why) which the Su 34 fullback is descended from (according to the article which mentions both positions).
The SUK 69 Hooker should be awesome.

F16 dude? No, but we were briefed on the incident and his E&E efforts

This was the Gee Bee, stumpy, ugly as a bushel of broken arseholes , not much forward vision and due to its design a danger to itself . It was capable of 300 mph which was quick for the early 1930s but quickly surpassed by the likes of the spitfires predecessor the Supermarine S.6b
