    Although I am a staunch atheist, this thread is a pretty good reminder of why many choose to believe in a god-dude/chick (see how woke I am?). It's just sooooo much easier.

    @voodoo good point!

    should we start a thread with a poll to determine which poster should be our Prophet, and we will let him or her tell us how it all started?

    Yes, despite being non-religious, I don't discount religion as complete bullshit. There is far far too much that we don't know to expect the laws of science to explain all. Big bang (which I don't believe btw), light years, 2.3 billion years earth etc .... it's mind blowing.

    People who honestly think we are the only planet with life are retarded in my view.

    A prophet from Eastbourne would be quite diverse, I reckon. I can't think of any others?

    Soothsayers also read the bones for fortune telling, however we have all seen some of his predictions so might be difficult to build a following...

    The Prophet of Palmy has a nice ring to it don't you think?

    Fair call.
    A challenge:
    Name all of the good things that have come from Palmy?

    @voodoo seems like a nice enough bloke, but then he is from Palmy and calls himself Voodoo. Hmmm.

    Anyway, we seem to have digressed. Does anyone know what happened to Lee Grant?

    Oh yeah and how about that universe thing? Actually to maintain a modicum of relevance to the thread, meteor showers:
    At the shower's peak on or near July 28, 2020, the rather faint Delta Aquariid meteors will be best seen in the predawn hours, after the moon has set. You'll still be seeing Eta Aquariids when the Perseids peak in August.

    That is in NZ and they are usually worth watching. Obviously need a clear night, or be at altitude.
