Ha, snap man. I'm also a bit prone to gout (once every 12-24 months) and have some early arthritis from years of basketball ankle/feet injuries - the 2 seem to work together a bit.
This lockdown is a killer because I've tripled both my wine intake and my running at the same time - so hitting the arthritis and gout gods spontaneously!
Right now I've got the early stage tell-tale tingle in the joint, but I'm hitting it hard with over-the-counter anti inflammatories and drinking my way through the pain...

It’s a real mother-fucker!!!
Fucking crippled today. Thankfully was able to see a doctor today for a prescription. Ruining my beer and racing day.
A mate got it when he was ~19 as a young subbie. When he told us we couldn't stop laughing at the poor bloke. I'd never heard of someone his age getting it.

That gout?I get exactly the same thing occasionally and had it last weekend! Feels like a broken/dislocated toe but I can't pop it back in.
I just discovered last week bending it back with my hand while applying good pressure to the tendon on top released it temporarily and then after doing it a few times it was gone. Seems backward but worked, like the tendon was ceased or something.
