@Snowy I assumed it was someone reasonably powerful, who can treat my account like the NZX.

I'm guessing someone whose name begins with D or K. Might throw an I and C into that equation as well! ๐Ÿ™‚

OK - even though the team above has proven that it can smash anything and everything any of the other provinces can put on the park, I'll indulge in a little fantasy.

15 Leon MacDonald (Sorry @Shark - we're taking Marlborough players. You can have Fergie McCormick, so that Brian Ford can run around him again!).

    12 David Havili
    11 Brian Ford
    10 Marty Banks
    9 Kahn Fotualiรญ

    8 Jordan Taufua
    7 Shane Christie
    6 Liam Squire

    5 Brad Thorn ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚
    5 Ali Williams ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚
    5 Chris Jack ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

    OK
    5 Pari Pari Parkinson
    4 Quinten Strange

@Chris-B I preferred the other avatar. Something a bit, well, gloaty, about that one.

The business model might be a bit off too. You do know that it is cheaper to just pay the ref than the players?

@Snowy I can still only see the hand with the money.

Are you seeing Dave with the Cup?

    @Chris-B Sadly yes.

Hopefully @Duluth has given you that for life. A gloating punishment.

If you ever get a shield challenge...and win...just, fuck.

@Snowy Fuck - he might have set it up so that only I get that hand.

It won't go away - it's like something out of Macbeth! ๐Ÿ™‚

I'm somewhat amazed that we didn't finally get a Shield Challenge scheduled this year - against All Blacks-stacked Canterbury!!!

As it is, Covid will potentially even rob us of an easy repeat! ๐Ÿ™‚ (Whomever has Richie Moรบnga wins IMO).

@Chris-B Actually covid could make the best "NPC" ever. Teams are already locked in I think (you can't buy anymore players) so bring it on.

    Gonna be fun.

I was going to say that, but he deserves it. You are way to kind.

    Damn.

@Duluth Weird - it would change for about a minute - and then revert back.

I thought it seemed like a lot of effort to go to to stick me with a picture! ๐Ÿ™‚

@Chris-B Rico Gear will be disappointed he hasn't made one of the many NPC teams he played for. ๐Ÿ˜‰

@Bovidae In fairness, Rico can't really expect to get picked for Ta$man after his major dummy spit.

But, I recall him standing around in the midfield looking uninterested.

We're a bit light on good centres.

@Snowy - ah - and now I see the avatar of my choice. In fairness, I only put it up when provoked! ๐Ÿ™‚

@Snowy On the subject of Ta$man imports....you might have seen this guy on the TV news.

    Simon Rushtonย ย /ย ย Europe

Lamb sells for โ€˜obsceneโ€™ world record price of nearly ยฃ368,000 | The National

Lamb sells for โ€˜obsceneโ€™ world record price of nearly ยฃ368,000 | The National

Sale escalated into bidding war for six-month-old Texel sheep at Scottish market

I bought a new Texel ram last year - he's the product of artificial insemination using semen imported from the UK.

It turns out that his grandfather came from the same Sportsmans stud.

Unfortunately, they're related, but not closely related.

@Siam I think Alan Sutherland probably played the first year of NPC, but I'd just be adding the name rather than someone I remember much about. He can go on the bench as well.

    @Chris-B
You have to put Alan Sutherland in. Fantastic player. Long established AB , captained them mid week on 76 tour of SA, scored 100 first class tries, married a Miss South Africa....

Either at 8 or Lock. Not sure when his older brother ray retired but he would be a decent option at Lock as well. Captained Marlborough to their Shield victory in 73.

    No love for Todd Blackadder?

@dogmeat Toddy only played his debut season for us - not sure even how many games he played. If I picked him, I'd have to pick Brad Thorn! ๐Ÿ™‚

Alan Sutherland at lock, then - in for Quinten Strange, since I suspect the fern rates PPP over Quin.

I seem to recall there was another big Marlborough rugby family around the same time, who might supply a better centre than Kireon Fonotia - but, the name escapes me.

    Edit - Steve Marfell!
