So this was Read's last game for Counties.

He should've picked up some Duane Monkley Medal points, but he got none.

What happened to CM in the last 20. Maybe fitness issues?

    Stupidity issues.

I was quite shocked with that blow out, i liked how Savea was trying to bring back the old him, great game form Goosen very rarely lets the team down TBN having a great game showing the Canes why they have rocks in there head signing Taramai instead.

Is anyone watching this fixture? Stuck at a place marooned from any Sky connection!
Last I heard it was Counties leading 13 - 08 after about half an hour. Tries to Fosita (Counties) and O'Reilly (Wellington) - showing he still has a good understanding of sniffing out where the white line is.

Highly underrated post, although you need to know Mr O'Reilly's history with white lines to understand it.

@mikey07 agree on TBN, he’s been solid for nearly three years now. He would fit in nicely with the current Canes loose forward setup of Savea, Kirifi, Flanders, Evans and Fifita.

Is he still signed to the Highlanders?

@Canes4life Yip two year deal if I recall I’m glad Taramai was only a one year deal but knowing Holland he’ll probably get an extension.

@mikey07 If they don't pick up TBN I hope the Canes sign up Caleb Delany. He looks like a bloody solid option at 6 moving forward, he's still very young though but I would hate for him to be snapped up by another franchise.

Do you have knowledge he's moved on or are you just pretending the Canes wont start Reed Prinsep in every match?

@Nepia the fact I forgot about him probably sums up his impact on the Canes. I think he's sticking around bugger it.

@Nepia it's just painful even thinking about it, him and Blackwell are just so mediocre. They must make a real impact at training because they do f all on the pitch apart from work hard apparently.

You mean apart from the fact there playing him at lock?

Worse part is Prinseep still has minimum a year left that will no doubt get extended

@mikey07 he's also spent a bit of time at 6 which is the position he is accustomed to. Let's hope the Hurricanes have the sense to play him there if they do sign him.

He had a training contract with the Hurricanes this year so he's been on their radar.

@mikey07 will probably get a similar contract to Blackwell.

Personally, I'm not so convinced by TBN, yet. He has to bulk up a bit more; he looks a bit skinny for a no. 8. Hard to explain, but I also find him a bit "Fifita-like".

@Stargazer he's been consistently Wellington's best forward apart from maybe Kirifi for the last three years but unfortunatly his public descretion has probably prevented him from securing a Canes contract. I wouldn't call 1.94m and 109kg small? I'd prefer him in my squad ahead of the likes of Fifita, Prinsep & Taramai.

He's alot smarter than Fifita and makes better decisions. Fifita proabably trumps him in athletic ability but that's about it.

@Canes4life I love how we all bitch about the Canes signings surely that show our passion if only the Coaches started taking our advice 😂
