the more i read, the more i want Harden to the Nets to happen. It would be delicious, and the ratings would be enormous

I just said exactly that on another discussion forum. They could be absolutely anything, and it will be great to watch either way.

If it doesn't happen, Harden for Embiid would be great too

    Blasphemy...

Harden is gone and there’s only a couple of options that have the space and who Harden will entertain. Would love the Philly trade for Harden. The Nets option I’m not a fan of. For the betterment of the NBA, D’Antoni and Harden need to be split up

I don't want him to go to the Nets because it will ultimately result in Sean Marks losing his job! I'm not convinced Harden can be more than a statistical scoring success. Can he headline a championship team? If he can it won't be Brooklyn. Too many negative vibes and only one rock

Sorry, I should have been clear, its just a 4 person whatsapp chat. It means nothing to me, honestly. I must have been drunk when I joined it! 😁

Probably not. So Brooklyn could be the right place then. All 3 players would have to make adjustments which is possible given all of them have a point to prove in different senses.

KD - winning away from GS
Kyrie - staying fit, overcoming Celtics debacle and winning without Lebron
    Harden - wants that chip

If they can hang on to Jarrett Allen, he could provide good support. I think I read that DeAndre is on the move?

He's a great player. But is he going to do the grunt work down low? Probably not. I guess you could argue that GS did it without a legitimate big man (sorry Andrew, Ja Vale and Co.), but who else has done it? The Clippers? The Rockets? The Cavs had LBJ so all bets are off

Alongside Lebron he is the most capable player in the NBA today of getting any shot he wants

Harden is tricky to shoehorn in. He is a ball dominant shooting guard, who doesn't seem keen to get engaged off the ball when he doesn't have possession. Can play defence if he is in the mood but not known for it. He needs a big man and shooters around him. Kind of what he had pre-micro ball in HOU but with higher quality players. He loves the 3 too much for my liking, and I don't like his general aesthetic and the way he generates fouls

Kyrie and Harden are very similar players. Hybrid guards that really are score first options. Yeah Harden gets assists but if you look at a lot of them they are kick out to 3-ball shooters when the defence collapses. He used to run a lot of pick n roll with Capella but that was it.

Thats why Marks would be wise not to go for him. I just can't see where he fits well, certainly no teams that are close to contention anyway

The thing about today’s NBA it’s really a game of creating mismatches and exploiting them. So the more options you have that can do that the better chance you are. Kyrie and Harden are in the top 10 in that regard and KD in the top 3!

Bit over a month until the NBA gets underway again.

This week is pretty good. The Draft is the 18th, negotiation period starts20th, with the trade period starting the 22nd.

    Few heavy rumours around

Sounds like they are blowing the Rockets up. Westbrick wants out, which might be tough given what the Rockets paid for him/are paying him. I just read that Harden to the Nets is a real possibility?

CP3 from the Thunder to the Suns

Talk has ramped up in a possible Wall and Westbrook swap. Wall has possibly the worst contract in the NBA...

Just catching up on the CP3 news, OKC get Rubio, Oubre, Ty Jerome, Jalen Lecque and draft compensation.

CP3 must hold some sort of NBA record for the total number of players involved in his trades over the years.

Draft day today. Think it's going to get wild. Already Sixers have traded Al Horford and a few picks to the Thunder for Danny Green.

Think there will be a lot more movement to come.

Not sure the Breakers will be getting any more high school stars in future - RJ Hampton is absolutely plummeting.
