Got bored at work so left 20mins earlier than needed to get the kids from school and treated myself to a beer at this little bottlo nearby that has some tables outside. Haven’t had a blonde (beer or otherwise) for a while , pretty good!

Wedding anniversary today. Getting the kids now, dropping them to the in-laws, then have drinks, dinner, and a hotel stay. 30 hours of glorious no-kids time to drink and eat and get rejected.

Just been out for a few beers
Had a triple ipa tonight. Kelly Ryan and Luke Nicholas went past hop zombie. 12% from the keg and tasted closer to a sessionable beer.
We live in craft beer paradise in NZ

The amount AND high quality of the breweries is quite ridiculous.
My latest go to is Behemoth. Their weird and wonderful stuff is just superb

Lucky to live in Helensville, home to www.libertybrewing.co.nz and yes not only do they make good beer but Jo is a good fluffybunny and Christina is awesome.

Indeed. Some terrific drops if memory serves.
Definitely a first world problem but I hate going to NW ( other half lives about 150 metres from one ) and finding that the particular beer I want is sold out. Pisses me right off.

20 years ago I was living in Dunedin and my girlfriend's first flat was directly opposite Emerson's Brewery, during the year I changed flats and one of my flatmates used to work part time at Emerson's and when we had our flat warming party because he said he worked in the alcohol industry he could get us a good deal on a keg ( we were all students so money was always watched) anyway he got a keg of Emerson's some tangy fruity thing and I believe it is probably the only flat warming party where the keg which was free for all was in touched.
The next day my flat mate invited his work mates around to finish off the keg - including Richard Emerson and my memory serves me that like most beer once you've had a few you will drink anythingSo in summary - as students we paid more for a beer that no one at the party liked (other than my alcoholic flat mate) then the brewery staff essentially got to drink their own product at our expense 😂
