@sparky that's the same loose trio and TH that got pretty roundly smacked on Friday night by a relative bunch of no names.

Ethan De Groot and Billy Harmon might be worth a call up to the ABs squad. Will need to watch more of them. Wouldn't put them in the First Test team though. Don't think there will be many new ABs.

Neither would I - but if that doesn't worry you, you're an easily pleased man. I'd certainly be hesitant to say that forward pack would take apart most everybody. I think the answers might lie outside the blues...

Loose forward trio is hard to pick. Individually the Blues have great players but I have to assume the balance isn't quite right. Is Robinson a long term injury?

Jacobson and L. Boshier will be ABs you would think. But then there are loose forwards from all 5 teams that wouldn't surprise me if they were picked.

@bones Loose Forward trio nothing like as good as when we had Kaino/McCaw/Read, not enough depth at Half Back and in the midfield, but the ABs have lots of very good players available and should be highly competitive this year.

I think the ABs will beat them by 40+ points again sometime this year.

Do we play Italy following any wallabies games? Because you might just have sealed our first ever loss.

Got my feet up post-jab, having a guess at the team for the first test in the light of recent injuries

    1. Joe Moody (if he can recover in time)
    2. Codie Taylor
    3. Nepo Lualala
    4. Sam Whitelock
    5. Brodie Retallick
    6. Akira Ioane
    7. Dalton Papali'i
    8. Hoskins Sotutu
    9. Aaron Smith
    10. Damien McKenzie
    11. Caleb Clarke (Maybe Leicester F)
    12. David Havili
    13. Anton Leinert-Brown
    14. Will Jordan
    15. Jordie Barrett
    16. Asafa Aumua
    17. Alex Hodgman
    18. Ofa T
    19. Scott Barrett
    20. Shannon Frizell (Ardie Savea if fit in time)
    21. Brad Weber
    22. Beauden Barrett (could be Richie Mo'unga)
    23. Reiko Ioane

Think we will be better than everyone apart from the Boks and perhaps the French.

That 10 pick doesn't give me great confidence..

@nostrildamus Think DMac's distribution and option-taking at 10 is getting better and better. At 10 behind a strong pack he could be a star.

@kiwiwomble One start and a some second half moves. I'd definitely not select him at 10 ahead of Mo'unga or BB.

Based on last year Foster and co will select Hodgman and Tu'inukuafe. Then it's between Bower (an injury replacement last year), Ross and maybe Johnstone as Moody's replacement. Johnstone is only just returning from a long concussion-related layoff so likely Ross vs Bower.

Moli has only just started playing club rugby so the Chiefs might be targeting SR-TT for his return. He hasn't played in over a year.
