@stargazer now that he’s signed make sure you actually start him Holland.

That article also confirms that Bird will be a replacement for Le’aupepe.

How bad is the Journalism from Stuff last I remembered Le’aupepe had retired had he not?

Also it’s good to finally get an update on Gareth Evans it’s like he’s just disappeared really poor from the Canes.

@mikey07 yeah didn't he post that he was retiring from rugby on medical advice? It feels like the Canes coaches don't have the best communication with their players.

Before Beaudy left they were fairly certain he would stick around (we all know what happened), Holland also said the other day he's pretty confident Perenara will re-sign (when it's looking more and more likely that he will sign for the Roosters), and now they have misread Le'aupepe's situation.

Seems like communication at Rugby League park is a little off if you ask me.

@stargazer wonder why the likes of X Numia, A Fidow, L Mitchell, B Iose and T Mafelio are not also on that list as they have hardly played. Come to think of it P Umaga-Jensen and R Love probably fall into the category as well and Mikey07 would appreciate them turning out for his outfit alongside Visinia up at William Jones Park against HOBM.

@nepia Wainui have a blindside fronting up in the starting line up for the first time at Premier level this season

@higgins I looked at the Manawatu draw and it seems their premiers aren't playing this week, so I expected Mitchell and Iose to play in Wellington as well.

Tevita Mafileo also isn't on the Pakuranga team sheet in the Auckland comp; maybe he's injured?

Numia & Love both started last week and played for about an hour, but you're right about Fidow (who only got 10 minutes) and PU-J (20 minutes)

@higgins I’d love them to turn out for Wainui saying that Josh Robertson-Weepu hasn’t been playing too badly

Also Karawana has been chucked into the forwards as he is still a strong defender but lost a lot of pace.

@mikey07 thought I saw him in the forwards a couple of years ago on a team sheet?

Athletic young Kia Toa lock Ofa Tauatevalu, formerly from Gisborne, has been with the Hurricanes and will be contracted to them next year. Also in the Canes mix will be 2019 NZ Schools hooker Ben Strang who has been on the flank for Varsity because of their glut of hookers..

@higgins Numia? He’s started almost every game for the Canes lately. Deserves a rest.

@canes4life It was about full (or development) Hurricanes contracts, not Turbos contracts.

I don't really care on an ABs level, but Fook Mi the Canes need him.
