Hells bells, yes - Jenny Craig and heaps of exercise has got Mrs Bartman into pump instructor form too. If you remember the adds, shes the one "with six bikinis"...

It workds really well - or did for her at least.Â

Worked well for Mrs TR, better than any diet she has done before * not that she needs to lose the weight mind you, just she is never happy with her figure (are many females?) but found Jenny Craig to be the shizzle, and reckons all the food is really nice too.

*always on diets of some description

Is Kirstie Alley still doing the ads! :2funny:

The Mrs wanted to join Weight Watchers online, which i think Hooroo has. Not cheap and probably not needed as shes done well on her own.
Mokey all she did was walk, and cut down on her eating. Do what she does and log everything you eat.
When you see in black and white what you scoff down each day/week its bound to make it easier to cut back.

Shifting house is a good workout. 😁

And nothing helps a diet more than no appliances or power/no money! 😁

That cuts out the subway diet I was going to suggest then.

If you cant run and dont like rowing, try swimming lengths. It builds aerobic capacity rather than strength but is a good workout for toning the legs etc. Because I'm prone to shin splints, I try to temper my running with swimming to - there are heaps of swim workouts that can be found online.

In terms of eating, I found the easiest was to lose weight was to eat heaps of smaller meals during the day (doesnt mean snacking), hence the metabolism is always active and therefore burning more calories across the whole day, rather than slowing down in between big meals.

Too true. I used to be a competitive swimmer actually. I suppose I'll have to find my togs, suppress the ego and scare the locals and get back into the pool!

    I know it's a little late - but hey - you might have plateau-ed!

If you've got a bung knee and you're not keen to reveal all at the pool, look for this book - The Pilates Body - by Brooke Siler. Aerobic exercise is all good, but if you're aiming for lean - and you can cut out or cut down on breads and pastas - then this is a good option to explore. It comes with diagrams, and on page 50 it has a full floor workout. All you need is a mat and an hour at least 3 times a week.

I'm recommending the book - but obviously if you know someone with Windsor Pilates - then get into it. If you can commit - it's totally worth it.

Good luck
