The following quote from Chris Gibbes in the below article suggests a few players are making their return this weekend: "The guys are fit and healthy and we have some guys coming back from long-term injuries too, so, we're in a pretty good space," he said.

From their Instagram: TJ Perenara, Isaia Walker-Leawere, Tei Walden, Scott Scrafton and Cam Roigard all look to be training fairly freely so we might see some OR all of them suit up for MP on Friday.

Bad news is that it looked like Devan Flanders was doing a light workout with the injured duo of Owen Franks and Tyler Laubscher, hopefully nothing too serious.

Regaining momentum will be the goal for the Hurricanes when resuming their DHL Super Rugby Pacific campaign against Moana Pasifika at Mount Smart Stadium on Friday.

@canes4life Can't see both Walker-Leawere and Scrafton suiting up to partner Justin Sangster as that would mean dropping J. Blackwell.

@higgins how good would a Scrafton/Sangster duo be with IWL coming off the bench?

    We can only dream.

    /sarcasm

Maybe we'll play them against Moana, best we save Blackwell for the big games.

No James Blackwell but Reed Prinsep to captain the side.

Those returning from injury are Scott Scrafton, TJ Perenara, Tei Walden and Cam Roigard.

Other notable selections: Brayden Iose deserves a start at 8, Peter Umaga-Jensen back where he belongs and Josh Moorby makes his debut on the wing.

@stargazer I'm also glad Caleb Delany gets another start at 4, he was very good against the Highlanders.

It's nice not seeing Jackson Garden-Bachop, Billy Proctor, Du Plessis Kirifi, Julian Savea and James Blackwell for once but I'm sure the coach has them lined up for next week.

@canes4life Yeah it would be considered an “easy “ game so he’s resting his “stars” no doubt, glad to see Morgan getting a crack and the midfield WE ALL WANT.

@mikey07 yeah will be interested to see how Morgan goes at 10. He was good during pre season so I hope he plays well and leapfrogs JGB.

I'm also keen to see how Moorby goes on the right wing, need to develop some depth in that department and he looks like a tidy player. Has some pace aswell.

@chris that won't prevent him playing for the Canes. I mean Southland's almost just as far away and he played for them this year.

Haha yea it's kind of sad when you think about it. We all know we're resting these guys as they are needed for the big games according to Holland.

@Stargazer being the oracle you are Tom Parsons was he at the Chiefs or am I getting confused the info I’ve been reading states that when he comes onto the field this will be his SR debut.
