Huh ? Tell me more……great movie.
LOL
Well…..
This is extremely disappointing. I thought Tarantino had snuck out something without me knowing about it.

Oh my god…15 mins in and we actually have a character in a position of authority that actually works things out correctly and acts as an actual human would

Episode one out of the way.
Nothing but English and Scottish supporting actors. Feels like a UK soap.
The chick is hot.
Andor is ok enough as a main character.
I have no idea what the plot is yet.
Fuck all action. Strange flashbacks.
Despite the odd Droid and Alien walking around this doesn’t feel like Star Wars. AT ALL.
Everything I feared about this show seems to have come to fruition, maybe my sons are right to avoid it.
Sigh, onto the next one, I hope to fuck it improves.

Still watching ep 2…production value is better than BoBF at least and we’re not on tattoine

I’m not sure either of these things are saving it. Christ on a bike it’s shite so far.

I’m in, even the wife was “one more?”….every different story to your usual Star Wars…just set in the same universe, so far what I had heard it would be, much more of a slow Cold War vibe spy/thriller deal…where you’re not 100% sure what’s going on but I expect a reveal towards the end

Ok I have to confess that episode was pretty decent.
Refreshing to see fighting on a more even keel as opposed to Fett/Mando/Fennic/Bo Katan/Cara Dune or whoever effortlessly mowing down hordes of enemies.
That’s something that’s plagued recent shows…..even Han and Luke didn’t kick arse in ridiculous ways like they do.
Also fairly sure that’s the first swearing anyone has ever heard in Star Wars.

Loved it.
Yep it’s not trying to appeal to kids (or big kids) at all but they have been saying this is meant to be a more adult show.
Definitely had Rogue One vides by the end of Ep 3.
I’m just taking it as a story in a galaxy far far away. One that we have some familiarity with.
Some cool ships and stuff too.Great setup and maybe now we get some missions.
-
Yeah, ep 3 is where is really starts to settle into what it’s going to be

They essentially started with the boring stuff at the start which is often dangerous in a show
If it wasn’t SW I probably woulda given up to be honest but there’s enough there to keep me interested now.
It was really a pilot split up as 3 eps. Can see why it was all released together.
I reckon it is very promising. The origin stuff is out of the way. I liked the way it didn't try too hard to be SW. No Stormtroopers, lightsabers, big baddies...yet. Just a proper story. This showrunner would have done a pretty good Obi-Wan I reckon although the trad SW does work with campness and pace better. -

Andor is obviously a bit of a scrapper and pretty ruthless so there’s enough there for me to care what happens to him. It should go without saying that he’ll have some run ins with Imperials down the line and I’m hoping there’s some memorable monsters/aliens too.
We know Mon Mothma is coming up and it will be interesting to see if they shoehorn in any other characters that we know. ( He’ll also meet K2SO for the first time as well )

I hope they keep the tie ins limited to the lead up to R1. Considering that SW is set in a whole galaxy it can seem like a small town at times with the random popping up of characters as fan fodder.
In the early (now legends) books the concept of these company run planets was common and made sense. The Empire had influence at threat over them but allowed them to be their own bullies. Meant someone else did their job for them. The oppression that triggered the Rebels came in many forms and many remained after the Emperor was toast. -

( ie Storm Troopers stationed on Tattoine in ANH )
The guys who went after Andor were a security team contracting to the Empire, is that what you thought too ?
