Another big defensive effort today. We out-Jackjumpered the Jackjumpers. Our 2nd half was some of the best two way Bball I’ve seen from the Breakers for a long time.

Frame it, take a screenshot, we are on top.

Our 3 point percentage was much better, but the inside outside attack was back on show for the home fans. But its defence that wins championships and we are super invested on D

Although I am not watching the games it is always good to read about another Perth loss.

I’ve watched all of their games and there’s a bit of a Houston Rockets circa James Harden feel about them. Lots of waiting around watching Cotton dance with the ball and score.

I’m hate the Wildcats as much as the next man, but the sad thing is that I like Manek as a player and he is suffering and not playing great under this system and Corey Webster is playing crap.

Arggghhhhh. Man that was frustrating. Far too big a deficit to claw back. We just fell short with a terrific comeback but coming from 20 with the Kings still scoring was too tough.

Our defence lacked a bit of intensity in the first half which is a bit unlike us.

Our young French kid left the game holding his arm and had his arm in a sling by the end. Not good.

First big roster move, and surprisingly it wasn't Perth

    Adelaide released Craig Randall

Big call to release a guy averaging north of 20 a game.

I saw the footage of him arguing with Bruton. It sounds like he was doing the same to his teammates and had an attitude.

Breakers are playing the Jack Jumpers and we are getting totally hosed by the refs who are only whistling one team

I can't believe this reffing display. The JJers are a bunch of floppers. But we aren't playing smart and our FT % is really poor

Breakers starters play with foul trouble for most of the 2nd half and grind out an ugly win

That was an awesome win. I love those sort of games because of what it can do for the team. Jackjumpers are the second best defensive side so it was always going to be a tough game especially with two of our key guys out and on their home court. Add the fact that the refs were having one of those nights falling for a lot of crap. I loved how we didn’t lose our cool when we were down by 6.

Pardon and Brantley were huge on the boards. Love that 4 of our key players finished the game with 4 fouls and were disciplined enough to keep playing and not foul out.

I don’t know why but I was really into this game and for me that is the win of the season so far.

Definitely the kind of game we would have lost easily last year. Everything was going against us but we found a way to win. Huge effort from all players concerned. The Breakers will be in to win a lot of games with team play like that

A bloody good effort with the Breakers having a smaller rotation (no Loe or Rupert). The return of Abercrombie helps in the absence of Rupert.

I had to laugh when Tommy was in the corner, he up faked, then drove baseline for the soft dunk. He’s been doing that for 15 years yet defenders fall for it every time.

The 36ers had been in Auckland for a couple of days before last Sunday's game. The Breakers arrived home from Tassie at 3 am that morning for a 4 pm game.

the NBL schedule to start the season is horribly one-sided

The Breakers have obviously had it very bad

The Taipans have only had 3 home games

    Melbourne have already 8
    Sydney have had 5
    Perth have had 6

Most away games to start were the teams expected to be at the bottom

Getting in and out of Cairns is fucked as well. Teams even from Aus are having to make 2 flights.

Breakers were in control vs Cairns but fading down the stretch. Cairns with high energy on defence right now

Breakers come out of a timeout leading by one and explode for one steal and 8 points in 90 seconds on the back of heightened effort on D. Breakers now up 9 with 3 minutes to go. Wow
