@Daffy-Jaffy cue wailing and gnashing of teeth around not being able to find out where/when team X is playing.

“World Rugby said it is able to make the change because of a new ‘hosting model’ that sees the international federation create collaborations with the host union,” the report read.

    WTF does that even mean?

The obvious answer is for host cities rather than countries (unless the country is small enough that fans travel plans can change easily)
Partnerships with travel and accommodation providers to allow more flexibility for travel groups would be a big help.

@Bones Not convinced that that pass was forward. The camera angle isn't good and the ball seems to leave the fullback's hands backwards.

Although it's true what they say about French broadcasters, South Africans can hardly complain about that as their own broadcasters are just as bad or worse.

So after years of the NH blathering on about how reds should be red, change is coming because it's fucking up the game. Yes red should be red, but accidents should not. The traffic light cards have been suggested on this forum for years. Fucking slow arse fluffybunnies

    Two things

    1. In the case of Steward, he would still have got red after 10 mins of deliberating IMHO

    2. If the YC is deemed to be RC worthy, then they're gone for good and down to 14 for the remainder of the match

This differs from Super Rugby, and is IMHO the best scenario

I'm a fan of the yellow upgrading to red by TMO
Really speeds up the game. It gets so tiresome watching 12 replays while we stop the game to see if someone might have made head contact.
Don't mind if it's a 20 min red card, or an entire game one, as you would have to assume the TMO gets it right with all the review time.

I prefer 20 minutes. Just makes sense. Team gets penalised for quarter of the game (so "targeted" cards aren't worth it) and the game gets to be a competition in proper still. Maybe make it that you then can't make subs in the last 20 if it happens then, but that opens up an avenue for more injuries.

The only problem with a straight RC, and you're off for good, for anything other than obvious foul play is that we've seen some RCs deemed to not meet the RC threshold by the judiciary after the fact. That isn't good enough from the officials/WR.

I doubt the TMO will be asked to review a RC and recommend that it should only be a YC. But they should, if applicable.

is there still a coin toss if they're the host nation? do they get the home game by default?
