Pretty comfortable in the end. I have no idea what our likely world cup squad is but Young helped his claim tonight.

Hard to know as it seems our top players are always rested from ODI’s unless it’s the World Cup.

You’d have to assume Conway, Williamson, Phillips, Santner, Southee, Ferguson, Boult (maybe) all walk straight into the starting team if they’re fit.

I think our likely top 11 for India will be:

    Allen
    Conway
    Williamson
    Mitchell
    Latham
    Phillips
    Bracewell
    Santner
    Henry
    Ferguson
    Boult

Sodhi obviously goes and plays when we think three seemers is a waste of time.

Souther obviously also goes as the backup seemer.

Young is first choice for batting cover so he goes too.

Blundell most likely gets to be back up keeper (although with Conway and Phillips maybe he misses out).

It would seem the only real positions in doubt are Blundell's and Boult's (contracting reasons).

If Boult doesn't get selected, it's probably Shipley or Tickner. If Blundell doesn't go then it's probably Nicholls, although Chapman could be an outside chance as he can bowl some spin ( don't think he'll get picked though as didn't even get a game against Sri Lanka).

Well, there's some bad news on that front 😞

just over halfway through the SL innings in the first T20

SL smashing it at 119-3 after 11.4

Lister and Milne getting smoked, going to have to be great effort from NZ to get back into this

Some shocking bowling from NZ, just spraying it all over the place.

Without Looking, we’d have bowled close to 10 wides already too - the last one I’m not sure how it could be called wide when it was 10cm inside the ‘wide’ line.

    Should be a fun chase

@Gunner agree, some great hitting, but some really erratic line and also length misses..hopefully we also fire with the bat

SL end up with 196-5 which is going to be a competitive total, NZ lucky it wasn't more quite frankly

Pulled it back a bit at the end. The 19th over from Milne was particularly excellent.

196/5 in the end but they looked set for 200+ for most of the innings so a little victory there. Will be a tough chase but not totally out of reach.

The shit bowling has transferred into the batting, we’re 3/2 from 7 balls.

Been released to the IPL. A bit sad but hopefully with an eye towards the world cup in India and getting them match practice in those conditions rather than a sign of player's priorities.

    @Cyclops

    Thanks.

Anyone know the commentator alongside Rigor? Quite enjoying his comments.

Latham and Mitchell have seen us to the end of the power play with no further wickets and on track with the run rate.

    58/2 from 6
