@Stargazer as much as Godfrey is a clone of Beauds, he seems like a clone of Thomas Waldrom.

@Stargazer Farrell is the prop right? Looks just like the tank in open space.

I get it now, it read like you were saying Godfrey was a clone of the Tank Engine.

@Steven-Harris This is the first season that he's really claiming a spot in the match day squad. I found him pretty average until this season and could understand why he got little game time, both for the Magpies and MP. But in his first games for us, this year, he's been pretty good!

Damn, I don't think my heart can handle these close wins!

    But YES!!!

What do you mean close? It was the biggest win of our still unbeaten season.

My guys were so completely and utterly dominated in the first half and for about ten or so minutes in the second that I was almost tempted to walk out of there for the first time ever rather than face any more of the tripe my guys were serving up, particularly the lineouts. Even the defence looked shaky although it held well considering the amount of tackling that was required and most of it was within shot putting distance of the try line.
I left the ground in such a state of shock that my guys triumphed against almost impossible odds after the first half that I almost had to be picked up off the bank and pointed in the right direction toward the exit.
In reality at halftime the score really flattered HB such was the dominance of the visitors who should really have been ahead by about thirty points or more given the overwhelming possession and territorial dominance. Perhaps Baylin Sullivan is not as good as he is trumpeted if he could not turn that dominance into more points for his backline?
I would really like to gloat at the turnaround but it I am still in a state of disbelief that it actually happened so it will have to wait until later.
I did tip HB 17+ earlier on so am slightly disappointed that I was so inaccurate!

Tim Farrell was Magpies player-of-the day.

    Crowd was 4,500

Brad Weber could very well be back - his French contract starts on November 2nd.

@Number-10 Weber said he was back in 2 weeks.
By geez that was an exciting end wasn't it? Bay certainly fun to watch!

Just watched this. Unbelievable. But with every missed (but not too hard) goalkick I kept worrying Bay was being left a lifeline. Then when Roe left the field Waikato fell apart. Did not expect them win before the match with so many rookies. Anyway well done HB for hanging in there. But must say the no obstruction call left me perplexed indeed. Would have been a penalty every other day of the week.

Man what a crazy game. Nearly turned the game off after 50mins. We did playing without a hooker the first half. Man the lineout was woeful.

One of the three matches I want to win each year for banter vs mates so im happy. No naki this year so that's good and Southland still to come for full bragging rights.

@Magpie_in_aus You should have tried being at the ground! It was probably like the days of the 80s when Auckland came to town and whipped arse by about 60 or 80 points no matter who they played so dominant was Waikato. How they could possibly get beat from where they were not long after halftime is nothing short of Javid Miandad being given out LBW in Pakistan with a Pakistani umpire level.

Bit embarrassing from Waikato to lose that match after building up such a big lead. Not scoring from the Rhys Marshall break (and injury) was a huge screw up and they really let the Bay back into the match.

@Steven-Harris Hope to see him get more of a run with Moana now that Tavatavanawai has moved on.
