Finally some phase play after a slow start. Good support play and Taranaki get the first try

After 15 minutes of kick-to-touch tennis, with an occasional 3-pointer as punctuation ... Taranaki have had territory, and suddenly some rugby is being played, but only 1 5-pointer to show for it thus far.

Taranaki look like the better side so far. They have to take their opportunities though.

Rona should have set it up there. Let Canterbury off the hook again.

That's the problem ... I'm a little worried about how things are going to go when Cannerbrie get some opportunities... I'm suspecting they won't let so many go begging.

    11-6

That was lazy stuff by JRK. Jogged back to get that ball with Alaimalo steaming down on him.

Terrible maul set up by the good guys deep in attack. But excellent disciplined defence to close the half.

Scrappy sort of game so far with both sides piling numbers into the collisions.

Harmon again a stand out for us. Drummond very busy and looks better than last week.

Take a drink every time the ref says "the ball was out"

Some of these calls are ‘interesting’, but the Naki are doing the job, so I’m going to call it ‘letting the game flow’

Too many forwards getting in the way of the attack, just compounding some of Drummond's fluffing around

Harmon again with a little shimmy and step.

Harford's ability to take it to the line ha been good. Drummond looks gassed
