I've no idea how many will be named in the squad. Maybe 28-30 for the two tests. And will some of the departing players be selected?

From the players I listed previously, you can scratch Lomax, Williams, TJP, Ratima, Proctor, Garden-Bachop and Love. The problem positions will be a 3rd hooker, openside cover (especially if Harmon isn't selected) and wingers. I expect Filipo will use Sullivan, Rona and Moorby as utilities.

I think I saw Flanders listed with an Iwi recently so he will be in the frame too assuming I didn’t dream it.

@Trig I think Caleb Delany is still injured so unlikely but he would likely start in the 4 jersey alongside Walker-Leawere if available.

Ruben Love being injury cover for Caleb Clarke means he misses Māori AB’s. If Caleb Clarke is ok then he will get released to play for Māoris, or so I’ve been told. Whether that means his named is announced or not I’m not sure but he has said injury cover means no Māoris.

A great opportunity for Tana Tuhakaraina. Moorby is now officially listed as a Waikato player.

I wonder if some like Akira made themselves unavailable.

Probably not contracted anymore. He negotiated an early release and judging by Auckland's social media he's not available for NPC

@ACT-Crusader Those two have been in the system for years, given we're short on first fives they are a good MAB selection, I would pressume Reihana would start for the 80 and Kemara would be there for cover if needed.

In an interview on Maori tv Filipo said that Josh and Akira weren't selected as they were "moving on and focusing on the next step in their carriers". Has Josh Ioane leaving been announced at all?
