He was called into the AB squad to replace an injured Sam Cane in 2017.
If you'd be so good as to read my selection criteria.

@billy-tell You mean "selected for a NZ AB squad in 2017"? He never played for the ABs. He has only been in camp with them, just like Riccitelli and possibly a few others. They were only there as injury cover; never played.

Ah FFS. There is nothing worse than some priick who splits hairs over semantics.
I know bloody well he didn't play for NZ yet, I don't need a history lesson.
The point was to put up a list of injured players who were clearly in the AB frame in 2017 - and Gibson was called in to replace Sam Cane when he was concussed.
If it makes you warm and happy, I'll remove him from the list??

Aren't there a few other Blues destined to be AB greats who are injured and should be on the list? Obviously Otere Black has AB legend written all over him now he's a blue.

The NI camp in Auckland is tomorrow, presumably to allow the Blues players to return from SA. So does that mean that the Chiefs' ABs can't leave for Tokyo until Wed? Poor planning again from Hansen.
Chiefs players will all be attending in their wheelchairs and crutches anyway. DMac is lucky his isn't expected to turn up carrying his head under his arm.
