Rosen wins the QB draft sweepstakes, at Arizona have been a good team in recent times and Rosen will have Larry Fitzgerald to pass to. The Browns, Jets and Bills are all potential career killers. Did the NYG and Denver not have picks they could have used to get a QB?

The Vikings take CB, Mike Hughes. This could be the final piece to complete their defense. All their starters on defense were top notch except the 2nd CB.

Giants had second overall and took Barkley. They believe in Eli. Denver had the fifth and could have had Rosen or Allen but took Chubb.

Browns have managed to make a great position look mediocre by taking Mayfield and Ward. And what are the bills thinking? McCarron has to start now because Allen probably needs a season to prepare.

The Jets will be happy - third time in three years they've benefited from players taking minislides (Williams and Adams previously). I think they're going to be a sneaky wildcard contender this year.

Colts are the winners at the moment. Nelson was probably the guy they wanted (2nd choice at worst) and they get him plus three extra second rounders.

Patriots take RB, Sony Michel. He's a 3 down back, which they haven't had for a while.

Ravens have now traded up for the last pick in the 1st round. Could it be Lamar Jackson?

Ravens draft Lamar Jackson. Flacco has no guaranteed money after this season, so this looks like the last season for him. I can see Jackson redshirting this year.

Baltimore have retooled their offensive skill positions this offseason. Expect them to continue that in day two by drafting a RB. Flacco will be fuming that after no help for many years they finally get him some help and then draft his replacement as well.

Rosen 'pissed' at falling to Cards at No. 10

Rosen 'pissed' at falling to Cards at No. 10

Josh Rosen was "pissed" that he fell to the Cardinals with the 10th pick in the NFL draft. "There were nine mistakes ahead of me," he said.

Reminds me of Aaron Rodgers on draft night

Some very good talent still there on day 2.

    Josh Jackson - Cornerback
    Will Hernandez - Guard
    James Daniel - Centre
    Justin Reid, Safety
    Harold Landry, EDGE
    Isaiah Oliver, Cornerback
    Carlton Davis - Cornerback
    Jessie Bates III - Safety
    Derrius Guice - Running Back
Ronald Jones II - Running Back
    Ronnie Harrison - Safety
    Mike Gesicki - Tight End
    Dallas Goedert - Tight End
    Michael Gallup - Wide Receiver
    Kerryon Johnson - Running Back
    Maurice Hurst - Defensive Tackle
    Courtland Sutton - Wide Receiver

A lot of these guys could've easily of gone in the 1st round.

This draft class is deep for RBs, DBs and not too bad for Olinemen. Lots of WR2 type guys in the draft too.

It'll be interesting to see where these QBs land:

    Mason Rudolph
    Mike White
    Luke Falk
Kyle Lauletta(often coined as another Jimmy G)

49ers trade up to the 44th pick to draft WR Dante Pettis.

Jimmy was drafted 62nd in his class and looks the goods. IIRC Tom Brady was a third round pick. Diamonds in the rough are sometimes there to be found. I reckon the team that drafts you is crucial for a young QB. Unless you are exceptional, going to a bad team will only serve to retard your development. Alex Smith was a case in point. Not a HoF QB but highly regarded out of college, fared badly during the 49ers dark years, but has done much better in recent times. If Aaron Rodgers had gone to SF instead of GB would he be as good as he is with the poor coaching and team management? We'll never know

Brady was a sixth round pick - he likes to remind us most years.

So the 49ers only have one third round pick (they traded the other third round pick to move up). I'm hoping they draft an EDGE or an OG with their next pick. There are plenty of CBs in the later rounds.

Philadelphia makes a chess move on the Cowboys by trading up to take the best remaining TE (South Dakota's Dallas Goedert) before Dallas can take him (with Jason Witten retiring).

Since they selected an OT in the first round, the 49ers have traded their OT Trent Brown to the Pats.

Well Mason Rudolph is now the heir apparent to Big Ben in Pittsburgh. You have to think the Patriots and Giants will be picking their future QB in this draft (at least one they can prep for the post-Brady and post-Manning eras)

The 49ers went with speed on Day 2. The drafted a speedy WR, an athletic Inside Linebacker and a speedy defensive back who can play cornerback and safety.

Holy shit. See the story breaking about the Redskins and their treatment of their cheerleaders? They are sooo fucked!

And i am a horrible, horrible person, because my first thought was "gee, that calendar shoot sounds hot!". Straight. To. Hell.

There has been other stories in recent weeks about the restrictive contracts the cheerleaders need to sign and the conditions they must follow. Examples like having to leave a restaurant if a player walks in. All for around the minimum wage.
