@mariner4life Yeah, I remember when the press onslaught about her was happening. We looked into it in our lab (my friend was developing microfluidic devices for studying blood platelets) and concluded "BULL-SHIT". The number of old fools involved ...
Finished it. Good read.
Fuck lawyers.

@Crucial what am I meant to be reading?
Keep up with the play man!
The Slough House series. One of the regular locations is in your stomping grounds.
Sounds riveting.

i read the first 3 i think, and it was okay, but the over-arching story just never developed. Get the fuck on with it, not every friggen fantasy series needs to be 10 fucking books
Yeah it is the first 3 of I think 8
I am so sick of fantasy writers teasing us with great stories then taking forever (or never) finishing.
Jordan, Martin, Rothfuss, Lynch (tho the Gentleman Bastards last one was crap), Sanderson (slow rather than glacial) even old Bernard Cornwell is taking his own fucking time with the Last Kingdom series!
I gave up on the last kingdom, he was/is my fav author but he just got stuck in that series and the books weren't different enough to each other...every couple of years id have to go back and remind myself what had happened before reading the next
still think his Warlord Trilogy is his best, perfectly balanced, not just one book that did well so they put out two more
I did see he's releasing a new Sharpe book thought which could be good, not that ive read all the others though

I’ll read the odd book again every couple of years, but that just seems like taking up new books time!
Plus I like to watch tv series and go to the cinema.
I’m well rounded. 😉

stay off the sweets mate, you're not getting any younger

@Machpants I reckon I've got about 5-10 books that are on annual repeat or every other year. Mix of favs plus books that I've picked up a whole new appreciation for as I've gotten older. Dune is one that I catch something new, or interpret differently every re-read.
Wish I had more time for reading but child units 01 and 02 are real book-blockers lol. Unless you count kids books, in which case I am slaying left, right, and centre -
@Paekakboyz My youngest is in double digits, they are all avid readers - tho mostly manga! So they are not requiring much attention, as a 4 ship they entertain themselves. I read most of my stuff on our tech free days, we do two a week with no screen time. Kindle doesn't count LOL
