I sign up with what Mad Max is saying on this one. Deciding if someone is racist or not based on a 20 year old photo is irrational politics. Signing up to identity politics, if even to point out a hypocrit is pretty dumb by Scheer IMO.
You can’t let the opposition write all the rules, break their own rules, hold your feet to the fire when you do the same thing, call you out as a racist and white supremacist, then take the noble high ground and forgive ‘n forget when they do it, and expect to win. That’s a tilted playing field, bullies vs wussies. It’s brass knuckles politics. Trudeau has to be held to the same asstight rules he uses as a hammer against others. Not simply for political advantage, But to fight back for the millions of decent people who’ve had a gutsfull being called a racist because they vote for provincial conservative governments. It’s that simple.
Trudeau’s federal government is Liberal — this lot is probably the most leftie Liberal government in anybodies living memory. Social justice and identity-politics on steroids.
But look at the makeup of the provincial governments, especially the economic engines. West-to-east:
BRITISH COLUMBIA: NDP (socialists)
ALBERTA: UCP (conservative)
Saskatchewan: SP (conservative)
Manitoba: PC (conservative)
ONTARIO: CON (conservative)
QUEBEC: PAQ (conservative)
Prince Edward Island: PC (conservative)
New Brunswick: PC (conservative)
Nova Scotia: Liberal (centre-left)
Newfoundland: Liberal (centre-left)
Canada is a mostly small “l” liberal nation, but there is a populist conservative strain that is proud of their history and culture, and is fed-up with SJW’s telling them how awful they are. Those provinces have populist conservative leaders (the Big Two; and three of the big four) who’ve called bullshit on political correctness and stood up to talk about the inherent decency of their voters and their culture instead of condemning them as deplorable subhuman neanderthals the way Justin Trudeau and his Liberal Party regularly does. Many regular Canadians like hockey. They like hunting and fishing, they like drinking beer and throwing meat on a bbq, and they’re sick of feeling like they have to apologize for it. (I visited friends in the Muskokas a couple months ago, reasonable people you would expect to be limousine liberals, and that’s what they were saying.) The results speak for themselves. And in Trudeau’s case, the comeuppance could not be more delicious, or more of a dramatically teachable-moment for drama teachers everywhere.

I really think you can. Kathleen Wynn literally choked on the same cocktail of ideology while being opposed by a an alleged sex pest and and then an empty seat. I really don't think there is any political capital in hard on anything here.
To me, if this were enough to force a resignation (and it may have if not for the election) letting identitarians take the scalp of a sitting Canadian PM does more to entrench this way of politics than help move beyond it - no matter how delicious the irony.

100% and that goes even for Liberal voters. Their rusted on block is government employees and immigrant communities that are largely voting on personal issues. That's why there is no need to try and beat Trudeau over the head with his own playbook. Canada (or at least east of Alberta) will tire of his schtick over time and abandon him. For all the oxygen this has gotten I doubt it has moved many people - IMO the election will be won and lost dependent on how many of those early-mid boomers who went Liberal either out of Harper fatigue or wanting a fourth Trudeau term last time either turn our or flip back conservative.

More Trudeau blackface , this time a video . He’s wearing an Afro wig and you can’t fault his commitment to making sure everyone thinks he’s black- he even painted his legs so you could see them under his ripped jeans .
something doesn't add up in the trouser department comparing this video with this picture....did he really go that extra mile with his costume?...did he also 'black cock'?

It's almost as if he had an obsession with this stuff.
Seriously. How many times is it now?I do wonder how much of an impact media/social media outrage actually has on elections. It's easy to get caught up in it all and think the whole world is outraged, but in reality there's a significant chunk of the voting population who couldn't give a fuck about what people are whinging about online.

Terrific news - Canadian Federal Court have ruled that Rebel Media (and other journalists critical of Trudeau) cannot be banned from the leaders debate.
Unfortunately for those journalists as it was a total fizzer.
Disappointing performance from Bernier. Blanchet seemed like the most accomplished out there but obviously had the easiest track.

Trudeau rumoured to be trying to pay off the 17 year old he had sex with while teaching at her school.
"The Chronicle is unable to evaluate the veracity of widespread rumors that Trudeau regularly received fellatio from students while on the private school’s campus. He worked at the academy as a substitute teacher in drama, social studies, and mathematics."

....of course with context
The context is another restaurant closes on Queen St W. I could name a dozen or more restaurants/bars on that strip that have shut their doors within 3-5 years of opening from US conglomerate Carls' Jr, to a really good Argentinian restaurant to my local watering hole at the time (and then the one after that).
I find it very difficult to believe a viable business would be close it's doors based on a couple of trolls, likewise a landlord isn't going to allow a tenant to walk out on a lease because of hurt feelings.

A week to go before the election. A few weeks back in what might have been a bit of madness on my part after an in depth chat with some Torontorians I put $50.00 on the conservatives to get the most seats in the election. After placing the wager I looked at the polls and when translating the polls to seats it looked like that was a really good way to flush $50.00 down the drain...since then though the picture seems to be changing and I might just get away with it.
Now with early voting open I'm guessing there probably isn't going to be anymore make-up or student bombshells..still I hope that there is a nice 5 or so percent liberal polling bias to make the pick work out.

What was the feeling on the ground?
My sense in the suburban Toronto/401 corridor swing ridings is that while there will be a swing away from Liberal but they hardly seem to be lining up with baseball bats to give it to Trudeau.
Those observations and the national polls mean nothing when it comes to how much the BQ will win in Quebec, the pipeline seats in the prairies and the 10-20 ridings where there is a strong third party candidate.

@rotated A couple in their 60's, small business owners. Seething at the cult of Trudeau and see him as an international embarrassment. Obviously their thoughts are still within their own social bubble but coupled with recent election results around the world its got me thinking that the time might be up for some of these popes of woke, might not be baseball bat worthy but enough to put off some traditional liberal folk from showing up on voting day.
