@nepia The stream looks fine to me. Audio, yep, they need to turn the volume up!

The stream is less than SD for me - just double checked other sites vids to see quality and they were all fine.

    Must be stupid Oz internet.

Or it's a Brazilian thing? All bass and a bit of fuzz?

  • @stargazer is he injured?

Would seem strange he isnt staying for the whole tour, or maybe since he thought he should be an AB, the rest of the Maori games are beneath him? 🎣

His good mate Michael Allardice got married recently. Saw it on Sam Canes socials

  • Chile's players are mainly amateurs so I think they will get smashed. A few play in Spain which I think is professional in the top grade and a couple play in Portugal. One guy plays for a USA pro team.

  • Brazil players are mainly home based. They do have a kiwi linked guy named Josh Reeves who has signed with Utah Warriors for 2019.

  • @mikedogz And they met each other in the USA where Allardice and his wife are on honeymoon, so Weber didn't go back for the wedding.

  • One of my mates is over helping to prep the Chilean team at the mo. He helped them out when they played Brazil earlier this year and was very impressed with the Brazil setup. Says they have set a realistic goal of qualifying for the 2027 RWC. The team are mostly pro now, living and training together and he reckons they are pretty massive boys. They are very well funded as apparently the Brazilian govt has a scheme whereby companies can offset their tax liability by sponsoring sports teams. I recall Heineken have got the deal for Brazil RU. Nevertheless he is expecting the Brazil team to be well beaten by the Maori at this stage and the Chilean Condores to get a hiding.

  • That should be the Blues starting 8-9-10 combo.

    The team is:

    1. Ben May	Hawkes Bay	Ngati Maniapoto / Waikato
    2. Ash Dixon (Captain)/ Robbie Abel	Hawkes Bay Auckland	Ngati Tahinga Ngati Wai, Waikato-Tainui, Ngati Hine
    3. Marcel Renata	Auckland	Ngati Whanaunga / Ngai Takoto
    4. Isaia Walker-Leawere Wellington	Ngati Porou
    5. Pari Pari Parkinson Tasman	Te Whanau a Apanui
    6. Reed Prinsep	Canterbury	Te Rarawa
    7. Billy Harmon Canterbury Ngai Tahu
    8. Akira Ioane Auckland	Ngapuhi / Te Whanau a Apanui
    9. Jonathan Ruru	Auckland	Ngati Kahungunu / Rongomaiwahine
    10. Otere Black	Manawatu Ngai Tuhoe / Te Whanau a Apanui / Ngati Tuwharetoa
    11. Shaun Stevenson North Harbour	Ngapuhi
    12. Teihorangi Walden	Taranaki	Te Atiawa
    13. Rob Thompson	Manawatu Ngati Kahungunu / Nga Rauru
    14. Jonah Lowe Hawkes Bay Ngati Pikiao

    16. Robbie Abel/Ross Wright	Auckland Northland Ngati Wai, Waikato-Tainui, Ngati Hine Ngati Whatua / Ngati Porou
    17. Chris Eves	North Harbour	Waikato / Tainui
    18. Tyrel Lomax	Tasman	Ngai Tuhoe / Muaupoko
    19. Jackson Hemopo	Manawatu	Tuhourangi / Ngati Wahiao / Ngai Tahu / Ngati Rangi / Ngati Apa ki te Ra To

    21. Bryn Hall	North Harbour	Ngati Ranginui
    22. Josh Ioane Otago	Te Rarawa
    23. Matt Proctor	Wellington	Ngai Te Rangi / Ngapuhi

  • There are four changes to the run-on side from the team that beat USA 59 – 22 in Chicago last week. Prop Marcel Renata, loose forward Billy Harmon, halfback Jonathan Ruru and outside back Matty Lansdown will all get a start this week.

Jackson Hemopo, Bryn Hall and Matt Proctor joined the squad in Sao Paulo after completing their All Blacks duties in Japan last week. All three will provide firepower from the bench.

Robbie Abel has been bracketed alongside skipper Ash Dixon who is recovering from a knee injury, and if required Ross Wright will cover the bench in the replacement hooker’s position.

“Ash is obviously a huge part of our on-field leadership, so we want to give him as much time as possible to get over a stinger he took to the knee. Robbie and Ross will step up if required,” he said.

    No info about Weber.

  • Haha, I was slightly worried the Brasilians would attack during that haka. They looked ready for it!

  • @stargazer what is the twitter link, the one above is wrong or isnt working

  • That link works for me, but you may have to watch it on Twitter itself, not on here.

  • @stargazer that one works for me

  • For who missed it: first try scored by Walker-Leawere; converted by Black. 7 - 0 MABs

  • Brasilian hooker sent off with a YC for a late tackle on Black.

  • 23rd min. Maori with 7-0 lead. Brazilian stadium is pretty big, so even at about half-capacity that’s a good crowd. They’re better than I expected. Just missed a 52 metre penalty straight in front.

  • Who was that Maori prop who hoofed the ball 60 metres? Not something you see every day.
