Excellent call
Have I missed something?
Isn't this the never All Black XV?
Not the "I don't rate them XV"?

@booboo see a few posts above that one it was said:
Someone should start a ‘Should never have played for the All Blacks XV’...
Missed that.
Dislike that thread as ALL those players are far far better than me.

Kahn Fotuali'i 100% should have been picked before he played for Samoa. He was better than Ellis his entire stint at the Crusaders.
Jason Spice if Mitch/Deans had bothered to make sure he got his cap against Argentina after giving out test caps to half of Christchurch.
There are probably a bunch of other hookers/halfbacks through the Ted tenure that can consider themselves a bit unlucky not to have snuck a cap as the 3rd string hooker or halfback.
I remember being high on Seilala Mapusua and thought his selection was imminent when he replaced Tana in the '05 Probables team. Then Nonu-Smith absolutely carved him to pieces.
Oh and John Blaikie from the early Super Rugby days with the Highlanders.

@KiwiMurph Yup, he said to my brother who was one of his best mates growing up that he was only there by default which my brother was having none of haha. I think it was out of him and Crotty at the time but Crotty was still a bit green at the time.

Ben May? You best duck for cover when @Higgins sees this thread.
Akira has played for the ABs (just not at test level). If you're making it at test level then Roger Randle for one of the wings.
I was at the match of Ben May's club yesterday. Did not see Ben May, certainly not amongst the playing XV nor the bench. I did not see much of the OBU Premier Reserve game (they were the curtainraiser) so maybe he managed to be selected for them and was subbed off before I was able to concentrate on the last fifteen minutes of that fixture.
As an aside John Plumtree was spotted taking in the action and he would have noted a very solid game from rumoured new WRFU Lions lock James Poloniati who scored a magnificent solo try from about 40 or 50 odd metres out. Brought back memories of Vaea Fifita doing likewise from 95metres out against the same opposition on the same ground about four years back when he the outpaced the entire OBU side including Te Ariki Ben-Nicholas wearing number 19
