    First time since about June (when I went on holiday) I have weighed in under 94kg - 93.6kg this morning, been working hard the past 2 weeks on my weight so good to see things moving downwards finally after stagnating for a few months!

    back, chest & core<br />
    <br />
    Horizontal pull ups, deadlifts<br />
    Bench (~50-60% of max) 4 sets of 20 (4th set, 20 woulda been max) and final set to failure which was 14)<br />
    <br />
    Planks 1 min, horizontal knee ups (in press up position on box, feet on swiss ball and bring them up to chest) tyre sledgehammer (like woodchoopers, but with a 4.5kg sledge hammer into a truck tyre, 10 each side, gotta work on that technique, especially for the left side) = x 3

    Gonna be a tough couple of weeks...mother in law and her partner over from the UK....which means more roasts, BBQ....while I play more golf too, her partner loves a beer and obviously I simply must partake...already well over my weekly average since Monday!<br />
    <br />
    93.9kg this morning, considering I had pizza for dinner last night and 2 handles (slightly offset by 18 holes of golf) pretty happy.<br />
    <br />
    Run day today - phew!

    7.26km @ 56.21mins, pretty happy with that time too, reckon <50 is a good target.<br />

    Did this run today in 52.46mins, and reckon I left at least 2 mins out there today, <50 mins is definately achievable, the wasted time is all on the uphill legs though, I give it a good go coming down, without going too quick which could end with me falling down a 20m bank or something...<br />
    [/quote]<br />
    <br />
    Today - 50.44mins...gave the uphill legs more of a nudge as I knew I needed to button off the downhill leg as it has been hosing down all afternoon and the track was pretty wet, and having a completetly saturated running outfit (normal tee, shorts and shoes) makes it a bit tougher too, the rain has just stopped now....<br />
    <br />
    But jeez it feels awesome when you finish!

    <br />
    And in better news, 93.3kg this morning!

    8 neutral grip pull ups, 15 frog squats, 20 box jumps, 30 sledgehammer into truck tyre (15 each side) 15 deadlifts, 60 sec plank = x3<br />
    <br />
    short, sharp and tough!

    Well, wasnt really feeling it today, all day, and then up until I started the 2nd lap, I was convincing myself I only needed to do 1 lap!<br />
    <br />
    Gave it a real go on the way up again, hit the top 20 sec quicker than PB, finished the first lap 30sec quicker, and finished 50.25.75, unlike previous weeks, didnt feel like I left any time out there today!<br />
    <br />
    The way I felt out there today, there is no way in hell I am gonna get under 50 mins, mouth was so dry (didnt take on enough water today before the run) and everything was just screaming at me on the 2nd uphill leg and then I had nothing to push the final sprint either, running style felt so inefficient today, so all in all, happy to get another PB, but boy it felt like I was on the verge of killing myself doing it!

    You'll get there. Shave of a couple of kg and you'll be surprised.

    Worst round of golf in memory, well putting anyway <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/rugby/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' /> 42, yes 42 putts today! <br />
    <br />
    Hit at least 4 300m+ drives today, putted for 9 birdies and 1 eagle, walked off with par or bogey on more occasion than I can recall, EVER. <br />
    <br />
    Back to the weights tomorrow, least I know they won't let me down so badly!

    Golf pissed me off no end when i played as a younger man. But I'd love to give it another crack. Maybe just a driving range hit out.<br />

    Back in the day when I played to a decent level in NZ, I got to a point where I just wasn't enjoying my golf because I was (always and still am) too inconsistent I ended up chucking the game away for a number of years.<br />
    <br />
    Now I enjoy it much more but play less and worse.... <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/rugby/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

    I'm in the same boat. Really enjoy it now, alot more than before but my game is nowhere near as good.<br />
    <br />
    Shot a 91 on the weekend at Muriwai.....first time I have shot over 90 in the last 10 years I would say. Played some splendid shots though plus also some equally stupid and poor ones. Ah well!

    <br />
    MUriwai is a tough course, played there a few years back off the back tees, luckily there wasnt any wind!<br />
    <br />
    Did you end up joining a club?

    Yeah I dont play enough either, but as I said to you I am a member of a little 9 hole course for $170 a year, it allows me a proper membership, able to enter proper competitions, haggles, play in their club champs if I want and also affiliated member green fees (best discounts are up here; $45 at Waitangi to $22.50, when I last played there was about $20 diff at Rotorua Golf Club too)<br />
    <br />
    There are 3 or 4 rural 9 hole clubs (that I know of) in Northland that have a number of Auckland members who have never played these courses, if you want I can give you contact details...

    arms, shoulders and legs today, first proper workout in a week.Used the sledge hammer and tyre, was more co-ordinated on both sides and also some tyre flips, which I could feel working the core too, and as usual, 2 min plank to finish.<br />
    <br />
    In better news, weigh in this morning 93.3kg.

    went out for a run, had a minor case of the squirts last night and it is about 25deg out, so only did one lap, and tried to make the most of it knocking a shade under 20 seconds off with a 25.42 time.<br />
    <br />
    Reckon that will be tough to beat and I wont see many gains on that for a while!!<br />
    <br />
    Walking around the same track was a dude with a dive bottle on his back!

    a top summers day, swimming with Miss TR this morning, then a drive out to the coast and a walk with the family, and back for a workout in the sun (wish I'd taken the togs) car said it was 28 degrees earlier, which I expect is a couple too high.<br />
    <br />
    8 u/hand pull ups, 15 frog squats, 20 box jumps, 30 hammers, 15 deadlifts, plank 60 sec = 3 circuits<br />
    <br />
    I know the abs are gonna feel it tomorrow, the combination of the box jumps, hammers and planks seems to really deal to the abs!!
