Tasman 2019
-
Hard to know quite what squad Tasman will name - last year they named a tiny squad with just 25 players, with Hames and Squire among them. But we have some firepower to contend. Will be something like:
Props: Crockett, Coxon, Lomax, Salmon, Princep, Kershawl Sykes-Martin - possibly Tim Perry, Moli probably with the ABs, Hames probably out with concussion.
Hookers: Makalio, Roach (Australian import - Rebels and Waratahs)
Locks: Strange, Wheeler, hopefully Parkinson, Frizell as a utility option, Cirikadaveta
Loose forwards: Squire, Taufua, Blackadder, Frizell (as above), Jacob Norris, Isiah Miller, Sione Havili, Taina Fox-Matamua, Braden Stewart
Halfbacks: Christie, Declan Smith (Welsh import), Ben Finau
First fives: Mitch Hunt, Tim O'Malley, Willie Havili
Midfielders: Alex Nankivell, Levi Aumua, David Havili (utility), Fetuli Paea (utility, ex-Tonga), Nick Foxley, Timoci Tavatavanawai
Outside backs: Leicester and Tima Faingaanuku, Jamie Spowart, Will Jordan, Mike Stringer
Despite plenty of support from Tasman fans to have the Log O' Wood put on the line, the Mako will not have an opportunity to add to the travesty of just two challenges in 14 years of existence.
Travesty - an excellent word when it comes to the Unfairly Shield!

No comparison with the Vikings. The fishheads wanted the Vikings to fail and ensured they would ... not so with the Tasman Invitational XV.

@Nepia Vikings were a fantastic addition to the 2nd division, I for one enjoyed the encounters.
Of course, you were the chief beneficiaries of the fishheads actions to cause the Vikings to fail! š
TBH Iām glad they did, imagine supporting a the home team in Palmerston North. Ugggh.

made Hawkes Bay relevant as well
-
@Nepia How do you think I feel?
I make an informative and semi-intelligent post about Tasman and then have it inundated with a bunch of crap about the Vikings - all kicked off by that Waikato or BoP bogan Aussie. Let's just get him banned!
South Central Vikings!
Someone needs to pop a virtual cap in his ass!
