    Russia

1 Valery Morozov, 2. Stanislav Selskii, 3. Kirill Gotovtsev, 4. Andrey Ostrikov, 5. Evgeny Elgin, 6. Vitaly Zhivatov, 7. Tagir Gadzhiev, 8. Nikita Vavilin
9 Dmitry Perov, 10. Ramil Gaisin, 11. Vladislav Sozonov, 12. Dmitry Gerasimov, 13. Vladimir Ostroushko, 14. German Davydov, 15. Vasily Artemyev (capt.)

    Reserves:
16 Sergey Chernyshev, 17. Azamat Bitiev, 18. Vladimir Podrezov, 19. Bogdan Fedotko, 20. Andrey Garbuzov, 21. Sergey Ianiushkin, 22. Anton Sychev, 23. Yury Kushnarev

    .

Russia coach Lyn Jones has made nine changes to his starting line-up for the Bears' final Pool A match against Scotland in Shizuoka Stadium Ecopa on Wednesday, 9 October.

Prop Kirill Gotovtsev, flanker Tagir Gadzhiev, wing German Davydov and full-back and captain Vasily Artemyev will make their fourth starts of Rugby World Cup 2019, while half-backs Dmitry Perov and Ramil Gaisin are retained from the 35-0 defeat by Ireland.

The inclusion of Artemyev ... means he will have started all eight of Russia's Rugby World Cup matches since their RWC debut in New Zealand. He will lead his country for a record 34th time in Shizuoka, and his 29 test tries are a record for the Bears.

Centre Vladimir Ostroushko will also be making his eighth RWC appearance as he returns to the starting XV after coming off the bench in the final quarter against Ireland.

Second row Andrey Garbuzov would join Artemyev and Ostroushko in the eight-cap club if he comes off the bench on Wednesday.

Wing Tommy Seymour and back-row John Barclay complete the starting side, coming in from outside the match-day 23 that faced the Pacific Islanders.

I just fucking love the Russian enthusiasm. They're not cynical, and in fact go out of their way to generally play "clean"by the looks. They'll lose this, maybe by a lot, but they're enjoyable to watch.

Scotland are pretty poop eh. That was a try gone begging from the 22 turnover. Ends up with the 9 running lateral and taking the wingers space, then passing to him once he's dragged 3 defenders across. Most teams would have blitzed that.

    Oh, now a try.

Fuck that's some streaky shit. Russia not covering the back well enough tho - if that 10 is going to do nothing but kick and pass from 10m behind the gain line, he should be back there

Like the USA, Russia need to find someone who is a bit more all-round at 10. Gaisin has a good boot, but not much else.

    Instinct, exposure, and regular competition.
