    I'd have quite enjoyed watching Canterbury and Auckland trotting about lethargically in a curtain-raiser!

    Considering this is Wellington in a final, and they always lose a final, it makes the impending Crusaders-light choke job even more damning

    Yeah - could be watching Wellington hoist the Cup and then hurrying home to watch Maro Itoje leaping about and fist pumping in victory.

    Be hard to come up with a more miserable evening of rugby watching - and take heed from 2000 - "When Wellington rugby is strong, NZ rugby is piss-weak!"

    Looking at that Ta$man side they would have to be hot favourites now that Taufua and Jordan are locked in, however Wellington also have the firepower to do the job aswell. Should be a cracker, bring it on Mako.

    Quite odd to see a couple of "older" fellas on the wing outside a couple of young bucks.

    Hopefully Goosen isn’t fully scratched. He has been our best this year and we will need his experience on the bench.

    Big weakness at loosehead for Ta$man, be interesting to watch how Wellington targets it.

    I just had a look at the two teams that played in Round 1.

    That day our looseheads were our fifth and sixth choices - Ryan Coxon and Sam "The Rock" Prattley! 🙂

    Both teams a bit stronger than that day.

    @Canes4life I'm slightly concerned that Ta$man might have a late withdrawal or two due to several injury clouds.

    Hope not - losing Blackadder is enough.

    @Chris-B yeah that Taufua knock looked pretty bad. I'm suprised to see him starting this week.

    @Canes4life Me too.

    I guess if you get a glancing blow to the temple maybe it stuns you without giving a concussion?

    I guess they've done all the protocols.

    @Chris-B Yeah most of the times knocks that aren't even noticed end up being the worst.

    @mikey07 I'm not fussed by it...think all commentators are likely to get more excited about their own team. I really don't notice the bias others seem to.
