@Bones said in Ireland Vs Wales, Six Nations 2020:

@sparky think that was Tompkins 4th missed tackle already.

Wales have made 61 tackles and missed 8 so far. 4 of those by Tompkins.

Ireland 83% territory and 73% possession.

Try to Ireland. Furlong rumbles over. Giving hope to fat props everywhere. Converted.

    12-7.

Ireland dominating possession but look wooden in attack. A poor missed tackles and a halfback error have gifted them 2 tries.

Ireland looking like an old school England team who spend a long time in the gym or working in their scrums, line outs and mauls, but not so much on passing and catching the ball.

Tipuric gets a consolation try for Wales. Time up. 24-14 to Ireland.

2 from 2 for Ireland. Heading to Twickenham in two weeks time and a possibility of a Triple Crown.

Tompkins had a shocker for Wales. Missed five tackles. Made one metre going forward. Passing game was a bit crap too.

Wales' first 6 Nations loss since 2018. No Grand Slam this year for them.

I'm far from sober, but a 15-minute -20C walk home certainly clears the mind

Ireland by far the better team

AND despite their dominance there was a 10-minute period in the second half where we should have been 19-12 down but a man up

And who knows how things would have transpired then
