"People have talked about music to tell them - like a Mr Whippy van - that we're coming down the street. But it will actually be about proactive communication with those communities about when we're there, similar to some of the pop-up sites we've done," he said.*
please God let the tune be Sandstorm
Just not "The Needle And The Damage Done"

@snowy someone sent me a FB screenshot, said the guy's mum is a judge
who cares then? Barely anyone could name a judge.
What matters is what old mate did, himself, not who his oldies are. It's just a good old-fashioned media trick to get a bit of class warfare for clicks.

@williethewaiter check out /r/HermanCainAward/ and r/LeopardsAteMyFace/ on Reddit, FULL of similar stories. The extra shitty part is where these folks manage to rope others into anti-vax thinking. Dragging others down with them
what gets me is that they'll still be taking themselves and their kids to hospital when they get sick (cos you know, science stuff works sometimes), clogging up the system for everyone else seeking treatment for stuff often outside their control
Probably won't tell anyone they suspect they have covid19 either. So they use the system and knock down its capability at the same time

Yup. I could care less. It is annoying for those of us trying to follow the rules

yeah, i get that. And if the Government thinks people are starting to run out of "kind" then they need a dose of fear. So fines motherfucker.
Now, if the Courts let the judges son off. then you have a story.

In that article, which covers waaaay more than just vax rates. But this stat (and chart above):
Vaccinations have dropped off from a record high of around 540,000 doses a week in the last week of August and first week of September. Just 428,000 doses were recorded over the week to Sunday.
Bear in mind the MOH plan was to be going at 300k per week. So, still good rate at the moment even with drop in velocity.
Nationwide numbers. From MOH update yersterday

Apparently the general sentence is a $4k fine or 6 months in jail

pretty close to here where the standard fine seems to be about $5k

Give them 6 months. 4K won't matter.
A cell with Mr / Ms big playing Mummies and Daddies might influence behaviour though.
i know you're not serious but
it's incredible just how many people will flippantly make a rape joke about someone going to prison. Try that shit with anyone else and see where it goes.

Agree about the 6 months. The money is nothing to them
That was the point and @mariner4life I definitely wasn't serious re the cell mates, but a few months in a cell I was very serious about.
