Yeah I'm a couple of kg down too. No excuse not to be. Put the doritos down, cancel that mad dash to Maccas ( which hilariously ran out of food anyway ) and go for a walk, run, skip, plyometrics workout or rope climb you fat fluffybunnies.
-
now that i have scaled teh drinking right back to pre-lockdown levels, it's a lot easier. I am also not a big snacker i have found.
Coupled with way more cardio work, even just taking the kids for a ride on the evenings i don't run.
-
I rapidly put on 2-3kg, but that's slowly coming back off.

A mate guilt tripped me into supporting local breweries so out came the visa and 100 bucks worth of Crafty goodness is on it's way. This could test the willpower as being back on the road for work is still several weeks away at best.....

I lost about 2.5kg in th efirst 10 days or so, but as my enthusiasm for exercise waned, I have put halfof that back on.
I find I drink less water at home, I snack differently at home, whereas at work I'd grab the nut-mix or a peice of fruit for a snack, at home it might be a cereal bar, some chips, bit of chocolate, or toast up some of the fresh bread the better half made!
Somethign I have become partial to, is a toasted brioche bun, with a healthy dollop of peanut butter and smothered in Maple syrup
For obvious reasons, I do try to only have that as a treat on the weekend!

keep up the fat-laded brioche and you won't be!
-
@mariner4life well, as I said, I do limit that as a treat, and TBH, I think it has been a couple of weeks since I had any, maybe Mrs TR saw the writing on the wall and just stopped buying it

@taniwharugby I made something similar a few weeks back.
Mix cream cheese, peanut butter and icing sugar
Cut a brioche loaf into decent slices and then cut a slit in each slice
Inject peanut butter mixture into the slices
Dip each slice in french toast mixture
Then fry in butter for 3 minutes on each sideWas bloody good. Best not to have too often though.
-
I did what amounts to sit-ups this morning because my first effort to roll out of bed failed.

If anyone is a road cyclist on here I highly recommend downloading the Zwift app, all you need is an indoor cycle trainer / smart trainer, a speed and cadence sensor and a laptop/smart tv.
Zwift is a gamified multiplayer online cycling and running physical training program that enables users to interact, train and compete in a virtual world.
Cyclists of all abilities have used Zwift during lockdown to get their training in, from amateurs to world champions, it's a great platform to test yourself.
I've only just begun using the app and have found it to be pretty similar to working out on the road, however, there is just so much more to see and do due to the unlimited virtual experience.
Anyway, check it out here if you are interested - https://zwift.com/

I had it set up in my basement in Sydney with the Neo trainer, my old roadie, and an older tv. It was a little too cartooney for me, but the workouts are excellent and it's over of the best things you can do in a short window. 30 mins on this is worth more than an hour on the road.
My Neo and my tv are now in a storage facility in Sydney while my bike was lent to a mate who will probably never return it. And I'm pretty sure I never cancelled my Zwift subscription either.
Good times
