Lockdown/Covid Check In

I had to get stitches on my cheek once, I can't believe the stitches themselves could have been any more painful than the anaesthetic, which was administered via needle all around the cut.
Sliced open my knee as a teenager. Right to the bone. They gave me a local anaesthetic while they cleaned it out before stitching.
The anaesthetic really didn't work and it was the most intense pain I've experienced. Except for 6 Oct 2007 in Cardiff

In the gif, she does share the same dress sense as @Smudge

@Victor-Meldrew it's all tongue-in-cheek! Bants!
Soooo our reception class teams started today whilst I worked from home, I did more jolly phonics and subetising than my own actual work, man I love my child but other 4/5 Yr olds are annoying, god bless their teacher, she had plenty of gentle jokes for the adults today. Husband who is awaiting his covid test result keeps ringing me from bed asking for everything , PLEAAAASE BE NEGATIVE I don't want the plague upon my house we've kept it out this long đđ he has no cough, high temp and aches and he is never ill. Feel sorry for him but poor timing man!!!

Yeah, I know - and the Fern is very open-minded... Mrs M & I have a 10yr running in-joke about Michelle Pfeiffer's rubber catsuit from Batman 2. The look on people's faces when the joke inadvertently spills out in company is quite something...

Mrs M's elderly parents have both tested positive, bit scary at times, but seem to have survived. Schooling is a bugger and has really screwed a lot of family members.

@R-L Had my youngest daughter and her boyfriend come down with aches, dizziness and sore throat. No loss of smell/taste and no dry cough. I suggested likely just a normal winter malady but the current Mrs Cato then screeched that there are over 20 symptoms for Covid. I said in which case weâve all fecking got it! I am still reliving the look of scorn on her face.
Mind you her whole family border on being hypochondriacs. One brother told us that he was experiencing severe stomach pains and painful urination. âIâm preparing for the worst. Your body doesnât lie. I know itâs cancerâ. I mentioned it sounded like kidney stones, just like three of his siblings. âNo, I know my own bodyâ. Anyway it was kidney stones.
Similarly daughter No2 and bf are fine. đ

It must be bloody tricky if YOU'RE the WISE one!

I imagine the joke field on that topic is pretty narrow...

Even Mrs M wouldn't dispute her lack of narrow compared to Ms Pfeiffer..

NO PLAGUE UPON MY HOUSE!

@R-L Great news RL. Time to celebrate.
Oh.
-
@Catogrande he's still miserable and achey so I can't be too happy yet as he'll be ringing his sick bell for at least another day I reckon.
It just makes you really realise that it's Winter and we are in peak winter virus time as well as having covid19 in the mix.
Today was a good day though.
